Because Riot strives on diversity they are unintetionally making the game more unbalanced

Their are crazy algorithms that a champion needs to pass in order to even be released in the open beta. The game makers are crazy math nerds. any champ n the game could have the craziest spell you think of. it just comes down to numbers.

My main complaint is that they have not done enough to educate people on their policy for balance. They have made broad statements, but releasing some specific guidelines could do wonders.

It's true it would help a lot, not to mention reduce the amount of ragers. But you see they can't do this because even riot goes back on their own word when exploring new mechanics. It is said that they would never make a mechanic where your ally can take control or or nullify your champs movement as this can potentially lead to your ally being a direct reason for your death. The did a pretty good job avoiding it over the years but now look at kalista and Bard's current ult.

TD;LR: So in other words, "There is always an alternative to making something work, if riot sets guidelines for balancing it would either limit thier balancing capability or give them more work as they would have to give a detailed discussion whenever they didn't follow the guidelines".
