Can new champs/reworks be locked for one week in ranked?

Many people in the community has been asking for this for ages, I don't care if you have a PBE account or not. The champion has only been on the live servers for two days, and you most likely have near no real experience with said champion. While some people can still first pick a old champion they never played before like ANiva or Malphite. At least the champion has been out for so long, and they most likely played many games against those champions to the point they have a basic idea how they should be played. With new champions it's different, you have seen very few real games of them, the best builds have yet to be discovered, and you yourself just all and all are going straight into the dark hoping for the best.

The community in majority wants this, keep the champion open for normals, but lock them out of ranked for at least a week. The only people who would complain about this are the minority.

I can't even ban it for if I do they are just gonna insta lock janna jungle as a reaciton

Honestly this would be really nice. Have ranked queues be similar to LCS, If "the pros" dont have the opportunity to learn the champion/patch well enough to play them in the pro scene for at least a week, why should amateur players be expected to learn them in this amount of time. Plus then we dont have debacles like the on hit nunu buff happen in ranked and the severely broken things can be hotfixed if need be before they hit ranked queues.

It is just unfortunate that you get the official patch notes the day of/before the patch hits and all the new shit is already affecting the ranked queues by the time you finish reading the notes. I had a player that didnt even know what kaisa WAS playing her in mid lane. They thought she was a melee assassin.

Give a week to adapt to the patch. Either that or space your patches out more and have fewer but larger patches 4-8 per season rather than 20-30 so there are fewer "learning a patch in a ranked game" situations.

FOR it's something the majority for the community wants.

Can't argue with that

Well--- I had a Kai'Sa in my ranked game who did poorly, but I managed to carry her as the support and let us win Then the next ranked game I play, I'm against a Kai'Sa, but my Jinx fed really hard and then left the game 15 minutes in

So basically, it's the person's fault for being a dummy; not the champ's fault

I'd have to agree with this 100%.

People already pick random champions they don't really know how to play and when a new champ comes out this behavior only gets magnified.

I wish people would understand that their choices in this game effect 4 other people for 15-60min. Normals are for you, but ranked is about the team and playing a champ you have no business playing in a ranked game is really inconsiderate.

at least with older champion they have a basic idea how they should be played after watching them so many times, For example if you played for a year you probabbly seen malphite get played dozens of times, and because of that have a basic understanding on how to play him. When it's a brand new champion, you are completely in the dark.
