When you want to go ADC in the new que it says Bot

Its because ADC's don't always carry.

adc is a class of champions. "bot" is a role as in the strategic position on the map. like top or mid or jungle.

morde plays bot and is not an adc (even though hes the exception for now).

"support" isnt necessarily a champion of the support class either ( ) but refers to the 0cs support role. the guy on the team who doesnt farm since there are only 4 lanes of gold income. which can be classic support champions, mages, or tanks.

Yes, they are trying to tell us that calling "ADC" doesn't mean you're going bot and that it is CONCEIVABLE that you can go bot lane carry without playing a ranged AD carry.
