Alistar Jungle

Does anybody still do this? I've done it a few times in normal games with friends and it actually worked insanely well. I know people say it doesn't work anymore since the nerfs but I haven't had an issue at any aspect of jungling with him yet.

His clears aren't lighting fast as say a shaco with boxes set up but they are decently fast He says healthy the majority of the time I've haven't really noticed any mana issues yet but that's mainly because his abilities aren't spamable like most I have yet to get countered jungled so I don't know how he'd fair in that, but since most people are easy to kill early on in the jungle it's nothing new.

As expected his ganks are top tier and his ability to be so naturally tanky helps too. Especially after say trailblazer you just have no issues in the jungle at all.

So why does everyone say this sucks? I know a few games isn't enough data but from my few experiences it works out fine

for every game won by alistar jungle riot will nerf him so, don't try it. he got nerfed everywhere multiple times

Riot hates alistar everywhere except support. Look what they did to top lane Ali, all because he could auto you once after headbutt

Edit: also it's not that he sucks, he's just not what he used to be because people took him to the jungle

I still play Alistar top.

For some reason it's always against a Tryndamere and I get level 3 first blood. item 1001

The funny thing is, they did that for the sake of Counterplay in lane. Meanwhile Ryze with single target instant root

I've played Alistar jungle recently.

Once you get the combos down and find a jungle path you like, Alistar Jungle is very strong with ganks rivaling pre-rework Maokai starting at level 2.

That being said, Alistar is a champion requiring heavy coordination with your team at all stages of the game, similar to Bard , Kalista , and Pantheon . I do not recommend using cow jungle unless you are in a voice chat with enough people in the lobby to make it worth it.

Alistar Jungle works really well, his passive makes him clear insanely well with his sustain, and he synergizes well with any items in the game pretty much. He can be built AD Bruiser, AP Bruiser, or full Tank. I've only seen and played it a few times altogether but it seems like Alistar is a massive early game threat that becomes the front line later on in the game. I think It's by all means viable, he doesn't clear the best but he doesn't clear the worst by any means and his ganking powers are scary.
