Ivern is one of those champs

That seem really awful, because his kit is not as over loaded as a few other new releases. Let's be honest, ivern isnt op, thats kinda why people think he is trash. Lowest win rates in both support and jg since patch? I guess since he is still new, but his kit doesnt offer things that are useful. I guess in a "support" aspect he does his job, but i feel that there are so many other champions that can offer more. I would probably only play ivern in a troll bot lane with rengar if im being honest lmao. Thoughts? (I very well could be wrong [slayer-jinx-wink] )

I feel Ivern is one of those champions that is really well designed. And its very rare that this type of champion exist and still RIOT decided to push him out. yea he isnt super strong on launch like Ekko or Yasuo , but hes fun. and end of the day, picking him or having in a game changes things, in some cases makes the game more fun.

Ivern offers small bonuses that people tend to ignore like shared jungle buffs. His shielding is decent, his engage is kinda cool and his ult, although not crazy burst like tibbers is decent sustained long term damage.

I do however hate his animations and his launch skin is retarded.

I think he will really shine when the pros get their hands on him and get some practice in.

He is definitely a strong strategically coordinated team champion.

There are very subtle ways that he changes the general mentality of the game and people have not figured them out yet. Nor do they have the consistent level of coordination needed to take full advantage of them.

I will give you one example of what I mean.

The fact that Ivern leaves behind a Red and Blue sapling after he has freed the camp past level 5 is obviously a big difference. However, the aspect of this that I don't believe that many people have considered yet is that the sapling will remain there for up to 1 minute after he has cleared the camp. With any other jungler, when the mid laner leaves toward their Blue camp, it is pretty obvious where they are going, and thus where their jungler is. However with Ivern, he can clear the camp, and walk toward top or bottom lane. By the time the mid laner has to leave in order to make it to the sapling in time, he will already be in position to gank.

He is great at jungling and being supportive.

His biggest weakness is teamfighting though. If we can get into a more splitpush meta, he will become better as a pick.
