Wu'Kong JG Dilemma

I've been playing some normals with Wu'Kong JG and I find his clear to be S (Shit) tier but doable. Even Jax feels faster and is much safer. However, after the first full clear and with the Machete upgraded, I don't feel like I need additional HP sustain. However, mana continues to be an issue, especially if I just ganked and want to do some camps after.

Thus, I've been considering Hunter's Potion but every time I get it, despite the fantastic sustain, I feel like I'm not having as much of an early game impact. Wu'Kong snowballs really hard so I think this is important. The problem is that I could basically have an extra long sword for damage and quicker clearing. Is it worth getting? I see some guys like Valkrin don't usually so maybe I'm just not managing mana correctly or should take every Blue.

I've considered that but here's the problem:

Warrior has 10% CDR Black Cleaver has 20% CDR

These are core items. Black Cleaver is critical for Wu'Kong late game both for himself and his ADC. If I also get IBG, I'm paying for 10% CDR that I can't use. I've considered TF for this reason, perhaps sitting on Sheen until you get your core but idk if it's worth it.

Also, I do use the clone right when monsters are about to attack but he still gets rekt pretty hard compared to most junglers and is quite slow. His clear is on par with tank junglers and that's not a compliment.

i've become less and less of a fan of item 3071 lately, i don't even build it on MonkeyKing anymore except as a situational last item, considering how powerful item 1400 > item 3025 > item 3156 is. i like item 3742 and item 3053 more than these days.

The armor penetration is huge late game though. You make their tanks so much weaker to your damage and that of the ADCs or often Top's. What do you get for the last 10% CDR there if anything?

i generally don't hit 40%. and usually, someone else buys item 3071 so i don't really need to. it's a pretty common item on bruisers and AD casters

It kind of doesn't. There are better places to get armour and CDR, and the sheen passive? Fuck the sheen passive. It makes your Q hit harder, and that's it. Wukong wants to W>Q>E>R or E>Q>R the enemy backline, and BC works far better for that due to the high AD scaling on his ult, as well as the armour shred.
