Should autofill stay or get removed ?

Personally, I play support this season and get my role almost always and I have no problem getting autofilled in roles I cannot play. However, I'm diamond 3 right now in series for d2 again, after I got demoted and the same shit has been happening over and over again. I mean about one tricks getting autofilled in roles they can't play and the game is most of the time effectively over at 10 mins in. Can't tell you how many times I saw a jungle one trick get autofilled bot and have him pick ezreal just to be useless all game long and down 100 cs. 2nd game in series today, I had a support main playing jungle, mid main playing top and jungle main playing adc. You don't have to be a braniac to figure out who won. We lost so hard, that we lost 2 inhibs by 16 mins. And then I check the enemy team, their riven main playing top, jungle main playing jungle and adc main playing adc. This is a big problem because you lose a game in champ select and it's not even fun to play and you don't learn apsolutely anything. Idk what strain would it do on queue times if it would be removed, but quality of games rapidly drops when you have 2-3 people autofilled on your team.

It should stay, but it needs to be improved. You should never have a case where 2 people are autofilled and one of the people were autofilled to a spot that the other person who was also autofilled to has as a primary or secondary choice.

Ex. If I am autofilled to adc but queued as jungle/mid there should never be someone who is autofilled to jungle or mid in that same lobby with me. It just makes no sense. That other person should be autofilled to adc and I should get mid/jungle whichever one he was put to.

If you can find a way to make every role just as desired as the other ones, there would be no more need for autofill.

it's not that the other roles aren't desirable...it's more either someone doesn't personally enjoy it, doesn't like the champions that go in that lane, or who has the time to learn 5 roles entirely to be fully competent to climb as high as they want to (and let's be realistic I mean everyone would love to reach challenger someday).

The problem is that they aren't AS desirable. I think it would help if all allies' primary and secondary tags were visible during select.

Right now we need autofill to actually get into a game within a reasonable amount of time. It's also not just 'a few minutes more in queue' as many like to say.

We've also always had autofill; it just used to be called "5th pick"

but some people though may be willing to wait that longer time then get auto filled...I think Riot may want to see if people are okay with that or not.

They tried that during the entirety of season 6. People could cancel the queue and re-queue to get rid of the autofill. What ended up happening was the people who knew about it would always get their role, and those that either didn't know or wanted faster games ended up autofilled all the time. It was unfair and unfun to that section of the playerbase.

I didn't play much ranked last season or much games at all tbh...I played more overwatch lol. but yeah that sucks.

I do think they need to fix autofill but I like always getting my support role XD I don't want to get my secondary role lol so Rito don't fix it to much where everyone wants support

I mean if autofill was removed then flexq would have to be as well. I'd hate going back to facing premades again.
