League turned into a game you need to be drunk or bad to enjoy.

Do you know why Nexus Blitz resonated so well with some people? Because the game itself was full of cheesy little things that people couldn't help but not loathe, even when losing. The cheerful music, the celebratory kazoo after an event, the free ton of gold earned from doing anything, etc. You could just pick it up, relax, and know that win or lose, you could at least enjoy yourself.

RANKED IS THE OPPOSITE.

I play Ranked, because I want to win games. I've been Gold 2 before, and I have not been hit by a large stick to the back of my head anytime soon, so I clearly haven't gotten worse than my previous Gold 2 self. So why can't I climb back to my former glory?

Because most people in Ranked are just fucking around! Most of the time, I get the kind of teammates who think, "Heh heh, I did thing!" when they win, and, "Heh heh, I did less thing!" when they lose. They don't actually care! To them, sitting under their turret and farming passively is boring! Standing with their team and doing what their role is best-suited for is boring! No, they clearly have more fun running in 1v5, screaming, "LEROY!!!!" at the top of their lungs, laughing hysterically, and taking another couple sips from their cans of beer as they stare drolly at their grey screen for another thirty seconds.

I'm the opposite. Those people have absolutely shattered my will to find joy in this game. I think, "What the fuck, team? I just backed! Why would you go in 4v5?? Why? WHY??" when I lose, and, "Oh, thank fuck, PHEW!!! It's over!!!!!! OHHH, MAN!!!!!!! That took WAY TOO LONG!!!!!!!!!" when I win.

Riot encouraged the Moron's Mentality over these years. By shutting down any form of "You have a tower, please use it!!!" as "Toxic behavior" and banning those who say it, you've created an atmosphere where people who play like absolute idiots feel as if they're not remotely in the wrong. You made them feel as if they're not annoying anyone else with their own burdensome selves. Where anyone that gets upset at them is a bigger problem than they are, solely because they hate having to put up with people like them!

Ugh.
