My tournament team said Kayle was a garbage champion

Is that true? I always thought she was pretty good but they insisted that her constant wave pushing with E puts her at a severe disadvantage.

Don't listen to them, she's hella strong and always will be cause her ult is fucking stupid.

Even if she's behind and gets shut down she can still make someone else on her team that's far more of a threat completely invulnerable for a short time, meaning she is always useful no matter what.

People are just saying "kayle is garbage" cause she was broken OP as fuck with sated devourer, but they just changed it so she can't really utilize it as well at all anymore, so she's back to laning or mediocre jungling. That doesn't make her any less good though, if you like her then play the shit outta her, cause she's still stupidly strong.

I don't think so...I don't see her alot but I don't think she's bad.

She abused item 3710 hilariously and disappeared when it was changed. Though she can play any lane, so I don't think she's garbage.

Kayle is a pretty meta and matchup dependent champion. She absolutely violates assassins in lane, since she shrugs off most of their harass, shoves them under tower, and absorbs their burst with her ult. In a more poke/control meta, however, she falls off, since she's not the longest range. She often competes with Azir, since they're both midlaners who scale incredibly well with items and do a ton of AoE damage in teamfights. Generally speaking, if you could pick Azir, you could also pick Kayle, although Kayle is more of a lane bully and Azir does have more lategame damage. Their ults are really what differentiates them as a zone control mage and an anti-assassin powerhouse, respectively, so you can pick either depending on what you need.

She's not garbage. She's not amazing in the meta right now - she's better off in short fights with assassins and carries than extended skirmishes with juggernauts - but her 15% resistance reduction is always appreciated, and her sustained damage is among the highest of the midlaners.

Her E does shove lane if you're not careful, but rather than trying to CS without it (bad plan) or trying to not shove lane by picking off isolated minions (unreliable), you're really better off just buying a couple wards and ramming that lane all the way up to their turret. Her ult means she's relatively hard to gank, her W gives her a decent escape, and against midlaners with weak waveclear she can really put CS pressure on them.

I've managed to kill a midlane turret without ever hitting it - I just slaughtered all the minions, and my opponent didn't have enough waveclear to stop me.

Just because she shoves lane doesn't make her a garbage champ. Quite the opposite really, i always like playing a champ with strong pushing power. It lets you roam effectively and also can establish dominance, it's also gonna be a lot harder for them to cs under turret. By their logicYasuo Draven Viktor would also be garbage champions.

If she is always pushing wave, doesn't that mean she is more free to roam and make plays?
