My opinion on ryze's 4th rework as a former ryze main
Ryze was indeed reworked 4 times, the last one was the worst ever and let's see what riot intends to give him:
passive: basically his first passive he ever had. His first passive used to convert AP into mana, and mana into AP like vlad but with mana instead of HP. Now his new passive adds a mana ratio into his spells, and converts AP into mana. This keeps ryze's identity since he is the only mage that directly scales with mana.
Q: now has more decision making, it's the same as the previous one except that casting Q after an other spells gives you a shield and bonus ms, but if you cast an other spells before your Q you lose one Q since you can't refresh the duration. casting a spell after Q causes his Q to be refreshed.
W: same
E: spell flux has also more decision making since it empowers his spells on the targets hit by spell flux.
R: if i understood, it's a TF ulti that also takes team mates with less range and cannot be cast if you're alone, i don't know what to think of this ulti honestly but AT LEAST it's better then the boring old one that we had for years, pressing R and having free stats.
congratulation to the design team, you made ryze more interesting, less role your face on your keyboard, but i don't know if you solved the problem that ryze had for 7 years. His problem was always: -being tanky as hell and deals shit tons of damage -being useless because of his range
and i don't see how it was fixed since you gave him his first passive.

She's rated 19/48 in overall role placement. That's top 40%, which is really good compared to a lot of junglers right now (see: Nunu, Aatrox, Jarvan)
