I enjoy that all Veigar has to do is stun and press R
Not to mention the AoE stun is on a 9s CD at 40% CDR & max rank and given how easy it is to get CDR this isn't a problem. This champion is just cancer whether he's ahead or behind.

I wonder who just lost to Veigar
I can tower dive him but the second I get stuck in his dumb ass cage he presses 1 button and I die. Fun gameplay.
If you're at 100% health, he only has a 75% AP ratio on his ult
It won't be 150% AP until 33% health.
You're at fault my dude.
He also has short range, as well as a delay on his stun.
It's a 0.5 second delay. If you're standing ON TOP of the indicator and you move away, you'll get out. However, if you're even the slightest behind the indicator you will not get out. And once you're in the rage cage, it isn't hard to land his other abilities especially R. Additionally, he is not a short ranged caster. You need to take another look at his ability cast range.
You can sit inside the cage and not be stunned. His abilities don't have a big enough AoE to hit you no matter what if you're in it.
Also, from your match history, you main Ryze. Ryze does not even need to land anything. His W is a point and click root.
Okay, once Ryze roots what happens? He has to E and land his Q in order to do damage. In fact if you don't land Q at all you shouldn't main Ryze. On the other hand Veigar lands his stun, his W and presses R. It's not like Ryze Q can go through minions (except for when E is spread). There are plenty of things that gate Ryze from being powerful. What you're saying is that I have to play VERY carefully vs Veigar, who doesn't have to play carefully at all, and maybe I will survive his combo vs when I play Ryze I have to combo like 4 times in order to successfully get a kill. Get out of here.

What do you mean he doesn’t have to play carefully, he is a short range, squishy, no mobility burst caster.
That stun is his only tool to survive, the moment it isn’t up, he is utterly defenseless and because he isn’t say Ryze who has a lot of defensive options with his itemization with his build, he can’t afford to build defense options.
A person who plays a spam mage wouldn't understand that there are threat zones associated with the range of each spell.
If Veigar uses his cage willy nilly, not only is it a waste of mana, but his threat zone is massively reduced and he has to watch his back because everything else in his kit either can miss or requires everything else to land to be effective.
Lmao, Ryze doesn't have to play carefully. You have a RoA and a Seraph's - you're more durable than most other midlaners already.
Your full combo is about a 4 second cooldown. His cage is longer. It can also be missed. Ryze's root cannot be.
And, no, you do not need to land your Q. It's already landed. You just have to press the fucking button to make it hit. It's not very hard to hit a stationary target.
You could, i dunno, play one of the 10,000,000 champs that have a dash or stun now? Outrange him as a control mage? Do literally anything other than complain about a champion who literally has one of the shortest effective ranges in the game for a mage? Who does he outrange? Vlad and Viktor? Two bruiser-esque mages?
Annoying, yes.
OP, no. Winrate is at the low end due to his poor range and unreliable damage, and weak early game.
I mean, his ult is an execution, therefore under all cicumstances he must poke you first. its AoE, but only the edge actually stuns you, and his skillshots aren't big enough to fill it.
If your only takeing damage from his R after the stun and dying, the stun is likely unnecessary in him killing you, he can just walk up with a point and click ulti and you will die to that even in a unstuned state. If the stun results in a WQR with a possible Auto, then its not accurate to say that all he has to do is E then R.
I recommend you take a little time and play veigar yourself, I checked your accounts champion history and I don't see any matches with you playing as him. A good way to learn counterplay for a champion is to play that champion, you can first hand see how other players deal with your kit, and experience what makes lane phase more of a struggle for you. You also will get a better feel for his abilitys ranges and that can help you keep a mental tab of if your in danger or not in future games when your playing him, you also get the feel for when he is and is not actively a threat and a better understanding of when, where, and why he powerspikes.
