He seem more than viable and efficient as an assassin. Not to mention the free ticket back to safety. Why does he need a buff?
There are many other midlaners who don't see the light of day and could use a hand.
masterdragon4812 votesBecause Zed is super feast or famine, and his feast cases are also very hard to achieve at the moment. Against competent players, Zed will have a VERY hard time getting fed in lane and being successful later in the game. And if he isn't killing things he is completely, utterly useless.
Do I think he is a pain in the ass? Yes. His lane phase is oppressive to the person he is laning against. But with items that hard counter his assassination attempt (hourglass, QSS which just got buffed, hell even death's dance) as well as decent team coordination, Zed will never succeed in the current state of the game.
I'm fine with him returning to a point where he isn't useless, but I do worry about him becoming too strong again. That wasn't fun.
LegitBusinessman2 votesI never have a problem with Zed. If I'm playing a squishie I can get a seekers armguard and stack it up that his ult combo at 6 rarely kills. Zhonyas and QSS both screw him over hard. There's counterplay there. Compared to other mid lane assassins, Zed I feel has the most options to counter him available to the player.
He's annoying to lane against though, manaless harass is a retarded concept.

HOWEVER, i do agree that there's a lot of others that need buffs/ tweaks. zed was in a good state til patch 5.22. now i think he deserves at least a slight buff, but yeah, there's other champs that need it a lot more cough
