Riven is one of the hardest champions to play 2017. She has always been this way. Her abilities must be used in the correct combo to be played well.
They aren't saying Riven looks really dumb - what does look dumb is that Rengar can travel faster by mashing Q and attacking things than he can by walking. Riven doing that was an intended feature; rengar's is not.
