Why do you choose to ban Yasuo? Open discussion...

In my honest opinion, Yasuo isn't OP. He is in a decent state right now. But from what I gather, he is almost always banned in ranked. I have no problem lanning against Yas. The most annoying thing for me is his windwall. But I can deal with it.

Why do you ban Yasuo?

I hate him cause of his gold efficiency. I generally see him go item 3046 and item 3031. that alone he gets:100% crit a crit boost so a guaranteed near (maybe a little over/under...)double in AD/lifesteal attack speed (35%) about 140 AD from crit some movespeed
and damage reduction to help his initiation/passive shield.

but mainly the double in AD/lifesteal. as a not so fed yasuo ends up doing 300-500 damage an AA and if you haven't last by late game cause assassin junglers/mid exists full build he has a bunch of AD and with fervor does up to 2000 damage an AA assuming you can AA 4 times with a team and not score an ace. I may be bronze but even then the boost he gets from his crit is still there. kinda like Riven or Draven. they hit like a Chogath mid (item 3027 item 3151 item 3116 is just a big no to assasins. then all that HP gives his ult damage to the point where you QWR everytime) stupidly hard, and straight up unkillable cause they hit hard, and now do I think about it I play draven a little and fight riven frequently, don't ALL these champions get item 3812.

[1] Windwall often prevent me from initiating teamfights on several tanks or picking off targets with mages

[2] I don't want to chase around Yasuo when he splitpushes all game (since he's a duelist, he stands a good chance of beating my champion picks even if he's behind)

[3] I don't want Yasuo on my team (since they tend to feed, rage and/or AFK in my experience)

Even if he isn't overpowered, he's rather annoying and I'm happier when he isn't in the game.

I just don't enjoy playing with or against him.

One main reason, I hate him, he is the one champion in the game that the mere presence in Summoners rift kills the joy from me. I ain't even happy when I see them in the enemy team feeding I just simply hate him.

Because I play a lot of Mages and ranged champs and his windwall is annoying.

His Wall and free shield is probably the most tilt-worthy aspects of his kit.

4 seconds of (near) free zoning at level 3, with a shield that is easily charged to negate any potential trades, allowing him to poke you.

Bonus: Tack on his 900 range Q3 on a 12 second cooldown with no damage reduction when hitting multiple things or cost outside of time. Doran's is enough to lifesteal back any damage he took easily, making his kit obnoxious to lane against if your champion don't have anything to respond to.

It says alot about a champ when everyone has a different reason for banning him

Beacause Riot doesn't care about balancing its own champions.

I don't ban him:

[1] I play mostly blind because I'm not allowed to play for too long.

[2] I play Yasuo (not as a main)

Why would I ban Yasuo? He isn't that hard to fight against. Rather ban someone who's actually stupid right now like Zac or Draven.

I ban him when I am not the one laning against him because honestly I just have attrocious luck with my team counterpicking themselves or simply losing the matchup hard. There is nothing more annoying than a fed Yasuo running around obliterating your team.

It's quite rare however, as I play Akali and always offer to lane against Yasuo any time i'm on Mid/Top.

Because irony.

I don't see him as a worthwhile ban. However, he is banned in around 40% of my ranked games so some people do see him as a worthwhile ban.

Yasuo isn't my go to ban, those are Zac and Fiora, mainly whichever one my team doesn't ban since everyone generally permabans Fiora, but if somehow both get banned before I get my choice, I ban Yasuo.

Zac is stupid strong in single handedly winning a game due to literally how much he can do. Fiora is broken and Riot won't nerf her, when even high elo players and even some pros think she is dumb.

For me I ban Yasuo since I simply don't like dealing with him. He isn't hard to lane against, but I don't like that no matter what I do he will become Yasuo and be a threat. I don't like the idea that literally anything I do to him is 100% worthless since he will still become Yasuo when he gets IE and Phantom Dancer. It isn't fun to be playing as, or playing against a Yasuo that is 0/10 which is a meme at this point since most Yasuos literally do get scores like that, but they can duel and possibly even beat your fed people since he got 2 items. I've played Yasuo myself and I generally play mega passive and its sad that as soon as I get to that dream point, I can basically fight anyone easily, its like....sad.

At least champs like Vayne, Jax, and other monster hypercarrys if you set them behind hard enough early, they stay behind for a while if not for the entire game. Yasuo the only way to keep him from it is by literally keeping him grey screened the entire game.
