Why do I lose LP for a 3v5 ?

My mid after going 0/2/0 in few mins decides to dc... then my 0/7/0 top laner just stays in the fountain after dying 7 fucking times... and I'm on bot with my adc after killing the enemy taking our 2nd infernal and wondering what are all the ways to kms. Oh yeah, and also, why would you lose LP in a 3v5 after 7 fucking seasons of this game ?

I think riot has said any way of preventing lp loss could be abused by duo's and such don't quote me on that though. Also IK that is a terrible excuse
