Dear Riot; I am taking a haitus from league

this is a bit late.. considering my last game was almost 2 weeks ago. But i am here to explain WHY i am (hopefully temporarily) leaving league.

Don't get me wrong.. i love this game and i WANT to play it. but i don't play this game for ranked.. i play it for FUN.

and right now... its just frankly NOT FUN to play league. its really that simple.

the cause is more complex,, but that's the outcome.

the weeks leading up to me leaving was just over and over getting champion i REALLY didn't want to deal with on the enemy team.

To many people "winning" the game is fun.. to me...having fun isn't about a "victory" or a "loss", its about whether or not i enjoyed the actual game.

what i enjoy MOST about a game.. is to see a player on a champion beat me not because they were fed, not because their champion was broken, but because they were able to play their champions better than i could play mine, i saw this once in the last 2 weeks.. the enemy team had a challenger player, in my mid-gold game and they won... not because they played a broken champion, but because i watched every play the made.. their ganks, their vision placement, their wave manipulation, and their damn near perfect cs, and i was like damn... this guy is good. I could see exactly how they beat the laner, how they stopped my gank, and i could learn from that and improve... THAT'S how i have fun. I DON'T have fun by playing an "OP meta champion" and going 15/3" and stomping everyone.

when i am having fun and not hating the games balance, i normally have a much lesser amount of fun when i have a massive lead.. because its no longer a challenge, what i enjoy is an EVEN match. or facing someone better than me i can learn from, but not be playing a champion that is so busted there is no way i can do anything at all.

but when people can just pick a broken champion.. and i can watch them make 20 mistakes in a row and they still have a get out of jail free card, or they can still win a trade after they messed 2/3 of their abilities when i landed everything,, is miserable

and im sure if i played 10 games a day then 2 of them i WOULD have fun in.. and no one would pick a busted champion that i didnt want to have to deal with.

but thats the issue.. there are TOO MANY "busted" champions out there right now

Irelia obviously being the worst and on the forefront.. yet she gets a -5 ms just to mock us

other champions like Leblanc Camille AkaliShaco Pyke are MISERABLE to deal with if we take it down a tier we still have shit like Jax Graves Kaisa Nocturne

then there are just champion u never want to fucking deal with regardless of how strong they currently are like ( and we are going to get some duplicates) Yasuo Zed TahmKench Shaco Pyke

and maybe dealing with once of those like once every 3-5 games is ok.. MAYBE

but not getting 2-4 of them in EVERY GAME.

it RUINS all the fun.

meanwhile i see a change to celerity that completely guts my main Nidalee 's first clear, in an indirect manner buy cutting off the 10 ap she gets from celerity at lvl 1 because of her 30% bonus when facing hunted jungle camps).. and her clear is already barely doable.

and while the extra 5 armor will help... everyone else gets that too soo... its a net neutral.

nid's biggest issue has been the scuttle crab change.. and nid isn't going to win any fight at lvl 2 because she will be too low and so many strong jungler are lvl 2 duelists

i mean i an VERY MUCH looking forward to the Morgana visual update.

i think Neeko looks amazing visually.. even if i dont think her kit is a very good design. and god NIDALEE IS IN HER LORE?? AM I FINALLY GET TO GET A LORE UPDATE TO MY MAIN????!!!!

and i WANT to play this game.. i REALLY do.. riot. PLEASE. i dont WANT to quit.. i REALLY DON'T

i have played this game for 5 years.

the fact that is.. ITS NO LONGER FUN.

I'm not having "fun" anyone.. i can't "outsmart" my enemies by being a better player when their champions can 1v5 with their eyes closed.. when all your new and so called "cool and interesting" mechanics are INFURIATING to play against.

I LOVE THIS GAME.

but its just not fun anymore... there is no "counterplay" every new champion and rework has a million ways to deal with any situation.

and they game is so much about "mechanical outplays" that actually KNOWING the game... People should be climbing because you playing PROPERLY, rather than be playing "what's currently op"

why do u think "matchmaking is hell"

because people who have no idea how to play the fucking game can absolutely crush people twice as good at them than them because they were able to lock in the busted champions first.

u don't see the best players in challenger playing their mains anymore.. you see them abusing the op shit, because THEY FREAKING HAVE TO to stay challenger, its disgusting.

why does "picking an OP champion" make you climb 5x easier than "learning the game"

THAT'S the issue with league. THAT'S why its not FUN to play anymore.

and that's why.. for the time being.. i am stuck playing other games... because i can no longer find any joy in my league games. and if the celerity nerf does go live without compensation buff to my main.. its only going to get worse.

so PLEASE riot.. NERF THIS ABSURD SHIT ALREADY

on top of league being not fun overall.. the state of the jungle by itself is horrible.

many people say "jungle is OP" or "jungle is too influential"

the first once is half right, and the second one is 100% correct. but its not as simple as that.

ever since the scuttle change jungle has been much less fun, but an even greater and more devastating effect was unleashed, which seems to go unnoticed to all non-jungle players

and that is... there is really no way to recover when u are behind in the jungle

what this means if... if for any reason the enemy jungler gets a lead... ( or you get the lead for that matter) they ( or you) can completely stop the opposing from really doing anything.

this could be from a lvl 2 scuttle fight or could be from once of you getting a very successful gank off because a laner was really far out of position,, or it could be from a lvl 1 jungle invade fiesta..

it could be one jungler was counterpicked or i could be that once jungler is just flat out better than the the other it really doesn't matter how the lead was formed

but after about a 1000 gold lead ( which is fairly easy to do with shutdown gold)

you then can take full advantage of the enemy jungler... and here is how

first off what makes this possible to the removal of vision

not having trackers knife or having the wolf camp smite means u cant see if the enemy is invading you you can place only 1 permanent control ward, and the trinket vision is slow to replenish and doesn't last very long or charge up when returning to base the vision plants do give data,, but they give it to both teams, as the enemy can see when u hit a sweeper plant what this means is it is VERY hard to keep track of the enemy jungler..

to make maters worse.. there is only 1 scuttle on the map now, and if that wasn't bad enough its a highly contested camp because of the exp now and when it spawn u can almost guarantee if u dont current see the enemy jungler far away from it.. he is going to meet u at it... and either kill you... or push you off it and take it.

with no vision it becomes incredible hard to invade their jungle and take their camps.. and if u DO meet them, then u probably just killed yourself because your already behind.

MEANWHILE they can easily take your camps... or just push u off them.

but swift you say... what about your teammates.. cant they help?

well sure.. in fact i was actually able to come back in one game... the caveat? we were in voice chat. and he was HEAVILY winning lane and he got me back into the game.

the thing is. outside of voice chat.. u cant rely on your teammates to actaully HELP you when u need to.

sure if the enemy screws up and dives WAY to deep for you giving like 20 second then the teammates will normally see the 15th ping u made and come help

but relying on that ins solo que? its not ganna work and so many people climb without knowing how to play because they choose busted champion.. there are so few wards place by allies, the map really is damn near black

what this allows is, you (or them) as the stronger jungle to just take scuttle.. and jungle invade them.. and the fact is... without a teammates help.. they CAN'T stop you... unless they HAPPEN to counter you.

because me.. i know this... not only because i have had to face it... but because if i even get the slightest lead.. i ABUSE IT. because its a guaranteed win.

and I'm not some person who doesn't ward or can't tell what people are doing on a blank map

in fact it is normally VERY easy to tell where an opponent is based on what they should be doing and where they arn't

for example... if i see bot and mid lane missing and dragon spawned.. its PRETTY SURE giveaway that they're LIKELY going to be at dragon.

this is something i have a damn near 100% prediction rate on.

the issues with the jungle isnt that.. "junglers are OP" the issue is.. that once one jungler falls behind... then unless that jungler has a laner babysit them back into the game, or they happen to outscale the enemy jungler as the game goes on due to an item power-spike such as item 3124 or a massive item combination they get later on.

then your flat out screwed.. you cant gank effectively because they will be taking your camps... you even know when they will be sitting at the bush right next to you waiting to kill you because u don't have enough wards to check for invades.

you can hit blast cones.. but that reveals where u are as well

meanwhile their lead grows with each camp of yours they take

jungler aren't "OP".

but they DO have too much influence, and that is because; once one jungler is ahead, the other jungler might as well not exist.

there is no "tower to sit under to farm" there isn't even "catchup exp"

if you fall behind... short of a miracle... you STAY behind.

and that is mostly due to the last of vision (removal of trackers) and the scuttle changes

I'm so fawking confused. Where is this "challenger player" in your "mid gold game"? You are Silver 5 solo and bronze 4 flex who plays normals

lol, i like how the first thing u do is try to look up my "rank" rather than understand what i wrote lets start with the obvious..

  1. i dont play ranked,

  2. unranked mmr and ranked mmr are seperate

  3. i consider flex more of a unranked than i consider "unranked" and the only reason i played ANY games in it was some of my friends BEGGED me to join them.. and THIER friends WERE bronze, and they sucked.

  4. its pretty fucking easy to tell the average rank of the players i am put with based on the borders. in unranked.. i normally play with player from gold to low plat, some silver.. and rarely a diamond or two.. in 5 years this was the first challenger player i have ever faced. it was 3v3 challenger but challenger none the less

  5. challenger players proably dont play unranked that often.. therefore thier unranked mmy is likely not challenger is is somthing i could be matched with
