Although frost gauntlet I don't see being a very good ap bruiser item, 
is very good if you are going to go since the healing from ravenous hunter procing on the burn is nothing to laugh at.
As for armor, 
is exceptionally good If you have transcendence, even better if you have mana and built

Lich Bane is probably better, or if it's because of the Armor you want it, just pick up Zhonya's Hourglass.
Poop Johnson2 votesThat's because Riot has 0 desire to make an AP "bruiser" let alone items for them. The closest thing we have to one is Swain/Vlad and both work perfectly fine with the mostly AP builds with a splash of defense they have right now.
LordGeovanni1 votesAm I The Only One who thinks that ap bruisers dont want to have to opt into defense and cut into their damage to do what Ad bruisers do because then they wont be doing equal or more than a mage does and if they arent one shotting anyone who dares to come in their range whether they have defense or not what is the point?
