replacing tenacity with bonus health on the tank item AGAIN

seems like a bad idea to me, i felt SOTAG pigeon-holed tanks into full-build focused champions way too hard when you did this before and tenacity feels like a really thematically great tanky stat that has too few options to choose from.

i thought there was a reason you went back to tenacity on juggernaut... could riot explain why they're flip-flopping on this so much?

Tanks already get tenacity from their masteries. I'd rather have an extra 600hp and aoe damage.

This new jungle item is better than sotg.

More Hp, and very high free damage.

idk, maybe cuz people thought tenacity of all things was useless on tanks and I'd rather devote gold into buying other stats instead of tenacity -. -

you know... devoting gold into buying things like more hp and very high free damage

that makes sense: when has cc ever been useful?

I've never said cc is not useful

ill take: RECIPE Tier 2 Jungle Item + Bami's Cinder + 350 gold (2200 gold total) HEALTH 350 UNIQUE PASSIVE Grants +25% bonus health UNIQUE PASSIVE Immolate - Deals 16 (+ 1 per champion level) magic damage to nearby enemies. Increases with time in combat up to 24 (+ 1.5 per champion level).

Over tenacity any day.

why can't it be balanced around having tenacity, immolate, and health instead of bonus health, immolate, and health?

I think the idea is to make them much stronger at what they are suppose to do:absorb damage, and while they do this they can do burn damage as well. It also helps tanks clear faster.. right now the clear speeds are garbage compared to bruisers. So this is suppose to help with that area. If you really need the tenacity. Mercs are never bad, as they also give you some MR.

In the end, tanks will be harder to kill (more hp) and because of this, will do more damage (burn damage)

what's the point of having a buttload of health if the enemy doesn't spend any of their abilities on you? a slow or root will keep you from getting into a position to use your abilities and your damage is still pathetic even with your sunfire cape. tenacity meant there was a reason for the enemy to focus you: there was no other way to get enough cc to keep you away from them and if you get close enough in the right position you can use your ult to bust through their lines.

Like I said, if you need tenacity that bad on a tank get item 3111 The idea of having tenacity on tanks has never been a popular thing. There is a reason it only lasted a short while in season 5. Its just not that "Good" on tanks. Not to mention, if you read the 21st point in the defensive tree: Tenacious, Reduces the duration of crowd control effects by %15. This is usually plently. credit to: Malevolentslim for mentioning this already in the thread.

of course it could have been giving it tenacity means less of everything else

but as wutshisface said I'd rather having more of everything else over tenacity

Wait, I have an idea...

What if there was an item exactly like sunfire's cape, but with tenacity instead of cape's passive?

Problem solved.

If you are being CCed by anything other than Morgana stun as a tank then you will be absorbing a crap ton of spells that would otherwise be hitting carries, and not even being stopped that long for it even without tenacity. If they are spending CC on you, that CC is not going towards the carries, and typically tanks have plenty of gapclosers. If they are spending Leona ults and Thresh hooks on you, they're not spending them on the carries.
