Them Sona nerfs, i think they are going to far.
Not going to lie, super disappointed that we are seeing nerfs to Sona after so little time in the lime light. Perhaps it's just me, but i don't often get the chance to hit level 16+ on Sona, hell often i'm lucky to hit level 13.
First can we talk about the mild gutting of her movement speed? Yes it was lovely that it now lasts upto 7 seconds, this does help a lot with getting from point A to point B. I do not think however that she needed to loss 3% movement speed at all ranks and loss 2% scaling. The skill is horrible to level since it does basically nothing to help you harass or help you allies. This often means that beyond the first point, E didn't start getting powered up till level 13. If it was decided that it was too strong at rank one, then reduce the starting % but let it gain more per rank. As it stands i worry that this nerf will put Sona back into a spot where basically every champion can run her down. Coupled with the reduction in cooldown reduction from her ultimate many champions that you use to be able to JUST keep pace with/outrun will now overtake you since your boost is slower and less frequent.
Second can we talk about how painful that nerf is to her ultimate's passive. Sona use to get a power spike upon hitting level 6, as is the case with most champions, now it honestly feels like you are going to have to wait till level 11 to start and feel that. This means 5 more levels of Sona feeling pretty clunky over all. 5 more levels of your abilities being a second too slow when you need them, 5 more levels of reduced pressure. But worst of all, Riot is basically saying that they expect games to go on long enough that the supports will usually get to level 16. Even if you don't play support i would challenge you to look through your game history, check your last 10 or so games, then tell me how many of them had the supports at or above level 16? How long does Riot expect a normal game to last? I tend to find my games lasting between 20-30 mins on average, usually ending up with me 2 to 4 levels behind the rest of my team.
