I Really Hate Bard's Ult

I really do. I get that it's for them big LCS plays, but all I ever get are Bard ults that trap me within enemy teams right before I escape, Or Bard ults that save an enemy from my or an ally's combo.

That is all.

This is where alot of bard's skill comes from, it comes from good usage of both his E and his Ult, if you hate his ult, you must also hate his E and for example even Kindred's' ult because these are all very high risk high reward abilities with extremely powerful effects and extremely powerful outplay potential. All in all, what do you think should be changed about his ult if its an issue, i am actually curious to know :)

If anything could be changed about it is if Bard could cancel his ult before it lands.

It would not reset or reduce the CD on it.

It'd just be something for him to do for when and if he realizes he messed it up.

That would maintain the high risk value of his ult

i like the fact that you actually give me a solution rather than whine on, so you certainly get my support in that regard :)

The issue with your idea is this though, if you take a risk, then you should stick to it, if bard makes a risky play by ulting knowing it could go bad, if he had the option to pull out all the risk and cancel his ult if it would fail without any real punishment, then was there really any risk to it? you did suggest that it still used up the entire cooldown which is a fair punishment for pulling out the risk, but with the added safety i feel like he would need more punishment for being able to pull out said risk, but i dunno, what do you think would be fair? :)

I don't know, perhaps re-casting it could cost him 50 mana. That way, in a crunch situation, if he uses it and ends up OOM, he has no choice but to let it happen.

THE BEST THING IS WHEN THERE'S A BARD AND AN ALISTAR AND ALISTAR HEADBUTTS YOU INTO THE ENEMY TEAM WHILE BARD FREEZES YOUR TEAM AND THEN U DIE

also you have to embrace the terrible. play bard and be the guy who does the terrible ults. no reason to do it deliberatly because when you're first trying out bard hilarity always happens
