Welcome to the League of Perfection

I used to be able to make mistakes and still carry. Now, regardless of the matchup, if you give up a kill early game, that lane can't be saved. (Low chance of salvage if you take TP and they don't have it. But pretty much all top/mid/sup run ignite now.

2 matchups, same outcome. 1 was Fizz, 1 was Yasuo. I was Wukong both games.

Normally it's a stomp against them. Pretty effortless lane win and I can carry the game.

Very early game, levels 2 - 4. I get killed.

Old League, I come back to lane, play smarter, no biggie.

Against Yasuo, his passive came up right on my Q and blocked it. Killed me. From there, he dominated lane.

As for Fizz, I drove him under turret (his E on CD) but he flashed away and the 2 turret shots killed me. From there, he dominated lane.

In the old League I could make up for my mistakes. Not anymore. Fizz Level 7 or 8, me level 6. He RE my clone, I took 0 damage. Then he killed me with belt active + QW + electrocute. But my RH + WQER didn't do anything because I was behind a level or 2.

I've never been challenger. I never will be challenger. I take a lot of unnecessary risks. I love turret diving. Makes the game fun and interesting for me. But now the punishment is 50x greater than the reward. There just isn't a way to recover from early game death. Everybody knows how to abuse the turret targeting system, so even melee champs can walk under your turret, get an auto and retreat only taking one blast.

Ranged champs/abilities can get free pokes without the turret targeting at all. Literally just Q'd by Darius last game under my turret while I was last hitting a melee minion and the turret never fired a shot at him.

I think I'm just too unskilled in today's League. Haven't been above D3 in like 4+ years, struggle to stay in high plat. Last 2 accounts I made got hard stuck silver and gold.

I always knew I could have fun early game and make it for if it went bad. Now, 1 item and level lead is all it takes to completely starve and slaughter your opponent.

This isn't the League I fell in love with, but I hold on because I know who she has the potential to be. It's a toxic relationship, I have to move on and find someone better.

Guess it's back to The Witcher 3 & Dark Souls 3 until CYBERPUNK 2077 releases.
