Can we give melee supports the ability to lane?

Naut/Leona etc kill lanes I UNDERSTAND this exists. But I'm very annoyed that melee champs literally have no option but to play passive.

It's so hard to balance ADC's, because people constantly pick off-meta supports, or they LITERALLY counter pick themselves for the loss.

This on top of the constant auto-fills in support where they don't give a damn if they win or not.... ADC SUCKS when I'm not duo queuing lol

Melee supports are fine in bottom lane. They all have tools to either survive or hard engage which is why they are bottom lane supports in the first place. I'll make the list.

Alistar Has heal to survive poke and gapcloser as well as ult to break cc Blitzcrank Melee doesn't matter when you bring the enemy to you. Braum Range spell and the ability to mitigate most of the damage from ranged attacks. Leona Gap closer with multiple cc spells to keep the enemy within her range as well as a ranged ultimate to lead off with as needed. Nautilus Same as Blitzcrank also with the ability to shield some poke. Pyke He can either pull enemies to him or go to the enemies with his dash. Also has a strong sustain passive to mitigate poke. Taric Some of the most reliable healing in the game and auto wins if he gets in range due to not having cooldowns.

And I'll make a list of the highest winrate ADC's proving that melee supports are worthless.

There is nothing melee supports can do to these champs, other than take tons of damage for trying to use Targons.

They delay your own ADC's farm, or BAIT them for jungle ganks. They can't initiate when the enemy adc is ahead either, because they just die instantly to PTA and IE. While every other ranged support can do CC from RANGE at a safe distance.

LOLOLOL. That's like saying that the world is flat because trees exist. Learn what proof is.

Learn how to position and problem solved. You should take at most 3 autos when going to kill a cannon. I often play double melee lanes with my brother and we sometimes win in CS.

If you further increase the ability for melee characters to withstand poke, then you arrive at a point where champions like Alistar/Nautilus become completely unstoppable in lane. Their kits are so full of CC, damage, and tankiness that there is no way to fight them except by poking them out.
