Dear Riot, Nobody wants to lane against

Nasus or Singed

First, let's start with Nasus

  1. Doesn't matter how badly you destroy him in lane and stop him from farming, he immediately changes the laning phase on you at level 6.

  2. item 3078 Literally is triple damage on the next basic attack. item 3025 is double damage. Problem is, his basic attack is a Siphon strike. That's triple damage on a stacking ability. There isn't enough armor in the world to counter that. I've seen Rammus/Malphite be melted because they can't 1v1 him either, but that probably is contributed more to his ult than his Q.

The math 84.5 (base damage at level 6) + 70 (Siphon Strike level 3) + 75 (23 stacks over 7 waves including the 2 siege minions) = 229.5 damage + item 3057 (100% base bonus) = 314 damage per Q.

  1. The infamous level 6. There are a lot of ultimates in this game, almost every champ has one with the exception of about 5 (the exact number is irrelevant). Nasus is the only champion in this game that allows him to be 0/2 to his lane opponent with 30 less farm, activate his ult and kill you! You go from being the oppressor to the oppressed.

  2. The obnoxiously high passive life steal on a tank with consistent burst physical damage (Siphon Strike) gives him way more sustain than any champ should have. Even Olaf Aatrox Darius Illaoi DrMundo Fiora can easily be dealt with utilizing item 3123 item 3076

  3. Wither. MS slow and AS slow to an extreme.

Nasus specializes in dueling, Siphon Strike and Wither, but also specializes in AoE damage with Spirit Fire and Fury of the Sands. Though I hate Nasus, I admit he's manageable with many matchups against his favor, proof being in his low overall win rate. < 40% professional play (esports) 48% P+ Right at 50% for all other elos

On the contrary you have Singed 66.7% pro 53% P+ > 52% all of other elos

Checked all the way back to S2 when I started the game. Singed has never fallen below 51% win rate! NOT ONCE! That's in every elo from Pro - Bronze. Being he's the only champion in all of League of Legends that statement applies to, that's a clear sign of being imbalanced!

Singed is the only champion in League that always requires a team effort and strategy to deal with if your team wants to win unless he's hard countered by Yorick Heimerdinger

Fortunately, there's an easy way to bring Singed in line. Move speed reduction while Q is being channeled. No reason he should running as fast as Sonic the Hedgehog while doing uninteractive damage.

Nobody wants to lane against Wukong either.

^ Im torn in a lot of the rants on these boards because im low elo and will admit a lot of suggestions like this would make games easier for most of my champs pool. On the other hand, I know these champs are close to being balanced because it takes the smallest amount of coordination to shut both of them down. In regards to your comment, id take nasus or singed over wukong anyday.

Malicious Metal2 votes

Well, the bottom line is that losing isn't fun, so people are going to complain about everything that impairs their own chances of winning.

Heck, given the chance I'd bitch and moan about Anivia and Zilean 24/7

Kazekiba1 votes

Anivia's Q should only stun at max range or after hitting x targets, remove the second cast and she's fine imo. I hate her Q being able to stun at will, it's unfun.

Losing is not why I complain about characters like Singed and Yasuo.

I've had plenty of fun in losing games. It's just when expectations are violated or I get no agency over my own gameplay that I become upset.

Singed's entire playstyle revolves around NOT fighting you, he just runs away, which is the most un-interactive garbage ever. And Yasuo just has so much agency in-lane that he's more likely to outplay himself than you are likely to outplay him.

You gank Wukong twice and he becomes irrelevant. The same can't be said for Nasus or Singed. Furthermore, Mordekaiser shits all over Wukong with his eyes closed!

Mig892 votes

This isnt truth. You can gank any lane ny number of times and they can be relevant. If you ward and position decently two ganks wont shut anyone down. If Nasus or singed are getting ganked effectively just like wukong, theyll be bad too. Putting nasus behind on his stacking makes him garbage midgame where hes supposed to be a beast. Sniged is bad if you can work with your jungler

Radiant Wukong1 votes

So sacrifice dragon and bottom lane to deal with Singed?

Kazekiba2 votes

If you dont have to worry about Singed, your top laner can be actually useful and help push bot + take dragon without losing their lane to proxy farming.

Facts

I’m not one to rank shame but I don’t think you’re understanding how it works. Hell, even a zeroth or banner stops his proxy farming enough to rotate. Singed is damn near useless outside of being annoying

SÞarx2 votes

gotta agree wukong with his 3 dorans blade duskblade build tilts me pretty hard

Elixors4 votes

Any champion can be considered annoying. Why don't we just take every champion out of the game and watch the minions slowly take turrets?

DuskDaUmbreon2 votes

Fun thing is: Botlane blueside wins that matchup.

Trust me, I've seen it in action. They take nexus first.

Or maybe there's just mainly mains playing him? I see karthus being n1 top lane winrate every now and then, let's gut him right?

The only times he's going fast these days are the times he's stacked his passive, and it's already too late for you then. Fiora outruns an ulted singed (and yi btw) FYI.

Radiant Wukong1 votes

Fiora and Yi aren't doing passive damage while running to safety, either.

Jerry SeinfeId1 votes

No flora is doing true dmg. And i was saying flora is the one outrunning both champs while also having a Dash.

Revali1 votes

Older champions feel shit to lane against because the game became something they weren't suited for.

Wukong is included.
