I understand that Maokai Update was needed , Sejuani too . Zac on other hand was unexpected .. He was fine (at least in my small opinion).
But C'mon Rammus and Malphite need some Love . Are there any plans for them or something ?

They didn't get an update because they need way more work than what such an update could give them.
Riot didn't see how to love tap them. And since they're pretty balanced and unique anyway they choose to wait for their VGU rather than doing something now.

Rammus has had the same kit since closed beta. Heck it took them forever to just get his art updated. It's a matter of favorites. If Rammus was in competitive play constantly, and had a high pick rate, then they would make more skins for him and touch his skills up.
Remember the stealthy update to Alistar where they added the trample stun? That was out of nowhere! Same thing could happen with Rammus. Reassign his ultimate effects to his W, change his passive to something useful, and give him armor damage scalings like Taric.
What's wrong with rammus, IMO he's the perfect niche tank in the game, he's so good against AD teams like he should, he has clear strong points and weak ones.
I think he should only be updated to current modern league standard, better jungle clear and maybe longer taunt in later levels.
Malphite fell off when his W no longer passively increased his AD damage. Now to have him as straight AP based damage he's too linear and easily tanked. Used to be vs malphite you needed a mix of armor/MR because he might max Q first, he might max W first. Now its a no brainer. Build MR = win.
