How come Yorick's mist walkers don't benefit from ravenous hunter?

The mastery in domination that heals you for 2.5% of spell/ability damage per stack.

It doesn't seem to work for Yorick's mist walkers. Are they not counted as a spell? They work fine with Death's Dance but not ravenous hunter.

that's because deaths dance is to heal from 15% of all physical damage dealt. damage dealt by mist walkers is dealt by the walkers, but is registered as yoricks.

but I thought ghouls proc it, but at 1/3 effect? I know attacking a target with the maiden for the %HP damage can proc it though.

What about Zyras plants? Don't her plants proc ravenous hunter?

Heimers turrets as well.

they should, but they should be counted as AoE and reduced to 1/3

edit:

I checked it out, I think its because ghouls count as autos for Yorick. in zyras and heimers case, it actually deals AP damage, so that's probably why Yorick can proc deaths dance.

If they count as autos does that mean them attacking while Yorick's has lifesteal will heal him?

Thats because ghouls cant apply on hit effects though.

Fun fact though, gunblade heals him when they do damage, and both ghouls and the maiden can apply corrupting pots bonus damage.

That is odd. Guess I'm gonna try Gunblade Yorick xd

I'm guessing they don't apply spell effects (which would proc Ravenous Hunter).

The reason why Death's Dance works is because Death's Dance heals off of ALL physical damage dealt regardless of where it comes from.
