Honestly, even as a fill main myself its a bit infuriating to deal with. I still deal with it, that's not the problem. THE PROBLEM, is that I get a "hehe xd autofill op and I don't top lane". laner. Even when asking to switch, no response, so of course like what can you honestly do? Take off autofill, it serves no purpose other than forcing people to play roles they don't play.
