How did none of us get an S??

Poro king mode, we win a 4v5 with 66 kills to 32, and no one on the team gets an S.

Seriously, how? You dominate a 4v5, all 4 players should be getting S...

It just means that someone else that played that champion did a better job than you.

Right, with a 5th team member maybe... I'm not saying I individually should get one, one of the 4 of us should have though. It was a 4v5 and we stomped. Someone must have played well enough to carry, if not all of us.

It was Poro King, so maybe you guys didn't hit many poro tosses? Mastery grade metrics are different for each mode, so what gets you an S in one mode might not in another.

We had 6 kings in 24 minutes. That means an average of 15 hits per person, or about a 50% toss success rate (ignoring the times it doesn't count when the enemy has the king up, which was 5 times).

Yeah, I don't think the system takes into account the fact that you may be playing with a 4v5 disadvantage. It would be nice if it did. Pretty much I think it just compares you and every other person that has played that champion in that game mode. I imagine KDA, CS, damage / healing all matter just like in a SR game.

The situation is irrelevant, you need to perform well beyond the average play of a champion in order to receive an S. This typically means very few deaths high kill participation percentage, you were involved in most of the available tower take downs, as well as other objectives.

My kill participation was 50/66 (insanely high). Only 6 deaths. I took down the first tower, was involved with second and inhib although not sure if I got assists on them (should have since I was healing everyone).

When I say very few deaths I mean usually you don't break into S unless you have 3 or fewer deaths.

That seems to be a general rule on the rift (although I've broken it), but on a no-recall map it doesn't seem very fair.

Didn't say it was fair, but just seems to be the way it works most of the time.

Look at CS numbers. It still matters

It shouldn't matter on a support taric. I had 39cs anyways, which is pretty high on ARAM when not playing a waveclear champion...

It's not just kda, consider objectives. Maybe a lot of you didn't assist with ladning enough poros or with destroying enough towers. If you just all get executed and then your minions destroy a tower, it probably doesn't give any of you any credit for it. Also a lot of you could have died less than you did. It's not smart enough to notice it was 4v5 I don't think.

According to the match history, I last hit the first tower. Varus got the second. Shaco got the inhibitor. I was in the fights right around the tower deaths, although I suppose it's possible I didn't attack the turret and thus didn't get a tower assist.

As mentioned above we had 6 kings in 24 minutes, so across 4 people that's an average of 15 successful poros each.

It's no-recall. How can you die less? I rarely see people with only 6 deaths (like Ziggs and I).
