@Meddler, What if we made Wukong's Passive [Scale]?

Wukong Airlines·10/21/2018, 1:26:11 PM·48 votes·15,882 views

Since a lot of people are finding it hard to come up with another passive, we should fix Wukong's passive [Stone Skin] for now and make it scale based on resistances built.

Passive: Stone Skin : Increases Wukong's Armor and Magic Resist for each nearby enemy champion Updated: Stone Skin: Increases Wukong's Armor and Magic Resist for each nearby enemy champion + [if additional resistances from items exceed 80, then the passive will be doubled]

Or, we can add % additional [armor] + [magic resistance] from the items.

This actually has some interesting potential for encouraging Bruiser Wukong, which tends to be where his gameplay is healthiest. I could see something like this -- perhaps with including some HP-scaling into his damage profile -- doing a lot to push him away from the more degenerate burst-AD builds and into a healthier playstyle that could be better supported.

Just rework him already.

Per Djinn's comment, I have always wondered what it would be like to actually make resistances that scale with health.

It doesn't have to be huge scaling to substantially increase his tankiness (and in fact, if it were large, that could end up pretty toxic). That would encourage him to build more like a Juggernaut (BC, Hydra, Sterak's) and be slightly tankier for it.

I think wukong needs completely new Innate ability. His current innate is pretty much worthless in 1v1. Also most of champions nowdays have sustain like Lifesteal or spellvamp and wukong doesn't

He needs mini rework similar to Xin Zhao

Example Wukong innate - something new that replace Stoneskin Wukong Ultimate grands stoneskin during ultimate's active: Wukong gains 10% armor and magic resistance for each unique enemy champion hit for 10 seconds.

I'd be up for this passive change, but then please remove some of its base damage and/or ratios from the rest of his kit just so it's not just a buff to wukong.

or how about we dont buff wukong?

I really like this suggestion. Bruiser Wukong has also been my favorite way to play my favorite monkey. So if i understand this correctly, Wukong builds some armor and MR items, then his passive would go from 4/6/8 per enemy nearby to 8/12/16 per enemy near by. On your second suggestion, for every 60 armor from items or 55 MR from items, Wukong passive gives him +2 Armor or MR per enemy nearby (+2 armor for every 60 armor, and +2 MR for every 55 MR). Either way I could see this being a great change allowing Bruiser Wukong to be stronger and possibly be at par with other bruisers such as Garen Darius Aatrox , but at the same time this wouldn't hurt assassin Wukong viability.

It would be nice if we could at least get that change. It'd likely come with a nerf but so long as his passive isn't where it's at now I'd be all for it. What's more is it would GREATLY increase the use of building defensive items, especially early game against a champs who are full on Damage. And honestly without a built in healing or shield mechanic, MonkeyKing greatest defensive strength is his pure defensive stats. If that were to be improved, it wouldn't be an end all be all fix, but it would at least be enough to tie him over until Riot can get to him.

what if they reworked him instead?

can we... pretty please not buff wukong without some mechanics changes? I dont enjoy a matchup/game being decided when someone selects wukong (meaning eithers he's lost or he's won when they lock in wukong) I dont despise wukong, he has a special place in my heart as my best friend's number one main for 4 years or so; but good lord his gameplay is so... flat.

I feel like wukong players deserve something besides "press E + Q when in range, and then press R if you're in a group of people." give him SOMETHING to do so that fights aren't decided by wukong's stats alone. even one simple skillshot could do wonders

Carnicore10/21/2018, 5:20:52 PM1 votes

Okay. What's the catch though? Wukong is strong right now and any buffs will need nerfs to accompany them.
