How can I possibly raise my MMR is I am consistently placed with unreliable teammates?

I am not talking about bad champion picks or a bit more passive players. I am talking about those who think diving a 15-3 Vayne with a 4+ level advantage, under her own tower, without anyone to back them up is a good idea to try repeatedly. Seriously why are there so many of these players right now? They are in every game it seems. Do people not realize that dying meaninglessly makes actually winning the game so much harder for you and the 4 others on your team?

Find some reliable people to play with and DQ with them.

You are placed with and against similar skilled people. At least allegedly and statistically. So if your teammates suck, there teammates also suck. They might just have a better leader figure.

Duo q with other solid players to eliminate the chance of having that one bad teammate

It sucks, the luck is hard sometimes. Sometimes I wish it just matched people randomly without regard to anything, like old school gaming, because Riot's MMR system often feels worse than that did. The pro-snowball philosophy of this game also doesn't help -- a lot of times your team is not really that much worse then the opponents who are dominating you, you just fucked up early and got snowballed on.

Basically, the luck sucks but it will come around. Focus on yourself and what you can do to help you AND YOUR TEAMMATES be successful.
