So it was around 30 mins into the game and my team had the slight lead. I was 16-7 malz, most fed in the game. The mountain dragon was spawing in 5 seconds but i had 500 health from a previous fight. So i tell my team that i am backing. 5 seconds after i say that my shen dashes into the enemy team and gets melted in 2 seconds. My teammates follow up without me and all die. Enemy gets drag and baron and push to win game. My team starts to flame me for them going into a teamfight without me, after i said i was backing, and tells me that i lost us the game. Is it my fault my team went into a 4v5 when i told them not to?

thats what people do at low elo. they make bad decisions and then blame it on whoever wasn't actually a part of it.

If you had planned out the dragon fight better you could've prevented your team from 4v5'ing. Always knowing when dragon and baron spawn, and when you should contest helps you plan out when you should recall, say you have a team fight and afterwards there's 30s until dragon spawns, rather than push out that last wave or two, or go take raptors or wolves, you should recall because that dragon fight will be more important (unless its the cloud drake)

This is not your fault for your team's stupidity. It's true that you could plan it out better they were way to aggressive, didn't read the message, and lacked the proper map awareness to know not to fight for that drag. They need to learn better.

I want to say yes, because you aren't telling us how you ended up so close to dead 5 seconds before a dragon spawn that caused a 4v5 teamfight in the first place. If you weren't fighting the enemy before where did your health go? and how did you not manage to kill anyone beforehand while that fed on malzahar. Is it entirely your fault? Probably not even remotely, it does sound like Shen made a stupid move. But are you blameless? Absolutely not.
