There is a difference between a mage and an assassin.

I see a lot of people talk about LB and other assassins like they're mages. They're not. Just because they do magic damage does not make them a mage.

Ahri Anivia Annie Azir Brand Cassiopeia Elise Fiddlesticks Galio Heimerdinger Kennen Karthus Karma Lissandra Lux Malzahar Morgana Orianna Ryze Rumble Swain Syndra Veigar Velkoz Viktor Vladimir Zyra Zilean Ziggs Xerath

Those are mages.

These are assassins:

Akali Evelynn Ekko Diana Fizz Kassadin Katarina Leblanc Nidalee

There is occasionally overlap, though. I thought Elise and Ahri were at least secondary assassins?

I could be wrong, though.

Ahri definitely is, Elise is considered a fighter though, and for some reason Xerath is also listed as a secondary assassin.

because before his rework, he assassinated people.

Thought they usually changed those during a rework, Nidalee had the support tag for a few months after her rework.

There was a time when Ahri was a complete assassin, but then the small rework changed her into what she is today. I wouldn't call her an assassin now, her all in damage is too low. Unless she's pretty fed, her full combo including all three ults isn't going to kill much.

Yeah, I guess she's more of a kiting mage nowadays...

Fiz has waveclear and cc, so he should be a mage.

Malzahar's Secondary is Assassin.
