Why does ARAM use the same champion pool for both teams?

You never play against the same champion as someone on your team. Which means that any rerolled champion also is "used" by your team. This can heavily impact the little balance which can be found in an ARAM game. Re-rolled champions are usually those who are not fun/easy to play as in ARAM. So every Re-roll your team does means 1 less champion to hopefully faceoff against. I do not see much of an issue with facing the same champions because of a "random" drawing. If anything it adds to the randomness. So why both sides pull from the same pool is beyond me.

there was a time where a bug was around that made it so both teams ended up having a mirror champion happened to me with warwick before his rework and wooo boy was that annoying hearing both warwicks howl every few seconds globally when somebody was low

Also what happened to being able to play only the champs you own? I love the reroll system but why do I have to play champions I don't like even more often than I already do? :c

You get access to the free week champs not all of them, it goes off your available champions so free week is included in that.

Hadn't thought much about it, but I'd say it should be implemented whenever they unlock the whole pool for aram.
