darius build path(different)

alright, so tanky darius has its merits early and mid. i'll give it that. but late game darius drops off VERY hard in this anti-tank meta thats floating around currently.

throw all of your biases out of the window, and SERIOUSLY consider this build for what you can do with it when you execute properly. if i see any "lol you're dumb just build tanks, i'll just chalk it up to you being one of those idiots that constantly follows the meta and never tries anything new out ever unless your precious little pros do it.

item 3074 item 3078 item 3006 item 3072 item 3071(oritem 3035, whichever you prefer i guess), and honestly the last item can be anything you want. sometimes i build a tank item if i'm taking too much damage, and other times i just get an infinity edge and laugh as i crit squishies for 2k with w.

you might be thinking "oh this darius build sucks. he's just going to get killed the moment he initiates a teamfight" you're right. don't initiate late game teamfights. in fact, treat teamfights as you would an assassin. wait for people to get seperated, sneak in the back lines, and melt carries instantly. your job is simple. melt carries. if you die in the process, that's fine. that's what you were going to do as tank darius anyway. but instead of getting a kill, you'd probably land 2 or three hits and then get kited to oblivion.

with a ravenous hydra triforce only, your w's are going to be doing 600+ damage. this can be damage to champions, or damage to turrets. doesn't matter. your job is catch people in the jungle roaming to disrupt any thoughts of teamfights they might have, and to take towers in 2 cycles of w.

i've tested this build countless times on opponents ranging from high silver to gold 2. it has worked a good 80% of the time regardless of matchup barring hard counterpicks(anything ranged top is not good) and very high mechanically skilled players.

I don't recommend building this if you're pretty far behind in lane, but if you're farm's good and/or have 1 or 2 kills by 10 minutes, DO IT.

darius is an oppressively strong early to mid champion, which means if he's even 3 items into this build, whoever he's laning against or deciding to fight is going to be VERY hard pressed to out-trade him or even escape without using flash. his triforce empowered w at full build(which you should never let a game last that long with your pushing power and ability to 1v1 pretty much everyone, even the kitiest of kiters)

it's hard to explain to you how this build works, wait no it isn't. pick people off one by one and split push. i end a lot of my games with this build at 10+ kills and 3-7 deaths.

You'll get blown to smithereens in half a second, if they're smart. item 3143 item 3071 item 3268 item 3156 item 3068 item 3074 Would be superior, imo. Full damage Darius might win you lane, but mid/late you won't be durable enough to take 2 or 3 people coming to stop your split push, and if any of the carries target you in a teamfight, you're mincemeat.

that's why you take him from a "im gonna bust up into the front lines and eat all the shit they throw at me" viewpoint, and bring him into, i'l going to run up from the side or behind, pull their adc, and either murder them in two shots or force them to leave the fight for good. and chances are with max AD and a CD resetting true damage ult on kills, you're gonna get that and more. all you need to be able to do is take out of focal point of their team's damage, and you have no won the teamfight. its like chess. im a knight. limited in movement, but when planned out and placed strategically, able to take out their queen in a blink of an eye. it doesn't matter what happens to the knight as long as i still have my queen, and they don't have theirs.

An interesting perspective. You have thought this out well. I think, with that kind of attitude and planning, it can work. You're basically turning in your fighter/tank role for an Assassin role. Makes sense.

i mean, why couldn't darius be an assassin? with his passive move speed+trinity force, he has massive mobility, and his e is absolutely perfect for isolating an adc/apc from his team and preventing him from dealing damage to your team. the e+aa+w+q+r is just icing on the deliciously melt-in-your-mouth cake.

I agree wholeheartedly!! 100% Build Darius with AD through the roof, put 2 Movement Quints on him and ULT AWAY! Use him like an assassin!

What gets really cool is when you use one of those slot for an AS item and watch the stacks rack up FAST.. when Darius has high AS.. he looks bloodthirsty
