Now, the reason all these tanks can do this, is because tanks are given absurdly high base damages, because Riot assumes tanks will build tank items, and they "Need the wave-clear" xD Silly, silly Riot.

Voli has never been a tank, more of a bruiser. Honestly, he always felt a bit more like AD Nidalee in some respects due to how his kit works.

If he has 3000 health, a 1000-damage shield from Sterak's, some decent amounts of Armour/MR and another 1000-health heal from his passive, then he is pretty damn tanky. If you're saying he's not a tank because he does damage, then...

Yes, let's ignore shens ult and singed slow, as well as his ability to control enemy pathing and slow them with rylais. I'm starting to get the feeling you aren't very familiar with all the champions in this game...Which is fine...Unless you're arguing with the entire player base about what is and isn't a tank.

Singed doesn't have the engage of a Vanguard or near the peel of a Warden to be a tank. He's classified as having a strictly unique role, but has most in common with Juggernauts, being strong dueling, high stats, light cc in the form of his slow and close range toss, and stickiness in the form of his passive and, well litearlly his W, but more so his Q.

Same goes for Chogath ; he has more cc than other juggernauts, but has most in common with that class than any other.

Singed is as much a tank as DrMundo or Darius , the former of which even builds exclusively defensive items and still doesn't qualify as one.

The reason I included singed is he's the most fringe tank there is tbh, anything less than that I'd say definitely isn't. That said, I kind of agree, he's in a somewhat unique position in that regard. He's what I'd call a testament to some of the creativity that's come from the design team that actually worked. I'd class him as a tank personally, but again that most fringe of them.

For traditional you'd have to look at Amumu, Leona, Rammus, Malphite, Blitz, Alistar, Zac, Braum. TBH there aren't a lot of what I'd call traditional tanks in league. Braum is another one that's a bit of a unique mechanic compared to the rest, but definitely a tank. Malph doesn't have a ton of peel or anything, but his uniquely powerful initiate and ability to easily eat the initial burst from enemy champions, as well as design around defense still qualifies him IMO.

That's all the tanks I can really think of tbh. Personally I still call Singed one, but yes there's an argument to be made for sure with him and I wouldn't say anyone that said he wasn't a tank is wrong. That said I think everyone agrees Voli isn't, and never was a tank.

This is why Riot split tanks into the categories of Vanguards and Wardens.

Vanguards have strong engages and usually have a lot of chain cc and or huge burst resistance, but with lower damage than other classes.

Wardens have much weaker engages, but have stronger peel and often times a better combination of offense and defense to compensate their less reliable crowd control.

Wardens are called "True Tanks" because they exist to soak damage and protect their team: Poppy W and R, Shen W and R, Galio R, Braum 's shield and leap, Nunu threat of R and W buff

Vanguards are the engage tanks: Amumu Alistar Rammus Ornn Nautilus Gragas Sejuani Sion Zac Leona

Alistar and Galio kind of blur the lines since Alistar has his strong disengage with his tackle while Galio has more chain cc than other wardens, but they're classified by their main kit contributions.

Juggernauts, on the other hand, have similar and sometimes even greater defensive values as tanks, but without the contributions tanks offer their team. While Vanguards' jobs are to engage, and Wardens' are to disengage, what Juggernauts offer is "stickiness" or being difficult to disengage from. Darius 's pull, Illaoi 's punishment for walking out of E, DrMundo Olaf running targets down with cleavers/axes.

That's why I'd classify Singed and Chogath closest to juggernauts. Once they get in they're insanely difficult to get off you, so the goal becomes not letting them get near you in the first place.

I stopped watching 2 mins in because rageblade wasnt a factor in any of those clips. Rageblade has its issues but this video doint highlight or expose any of them. Im not watching the entire video to find your example of it. Its just some (assumingly) low elo plays where you burn flash and get a kill....

Why give us a 6 min clip to prove your point. Nobody wants to watch a scrub montage to see the point youre making. you edited and uploaded a clip. lets not act like this clip is a full game. Admittedly it might be a little lazy but your video is just a waste of time for the most part. just a tip Edit: watched the video. shows nothing about your point. you solo'd a teemo as volibear, killed a half health blitz almost alone, double killed two enemies at >10% HP and then killed a couple squishies. wheres the OP item come in?
