Item concept: Blood Goblet

Valhalla Rising··4 votes·422 views

Description: Ap/health version of Muramana and maw of Malmortius.

Rough example:

Crystalline Bracer + Needlessly large rod + Ruby Crystal = Blood Goblet(3200g~) -80 ap -300 health -100% base health regen

Passive 1: Grants 1.5 ability power for every 2.5% of missing health, up to a maximum of 45 ability power.

Passive 2, Toggle: Single target Spells and attacks consume 3% of current health to deal bonus magical damage equal to twice the amount of health consumed.

p.s. as i was creating this post It occurred to me that there could possibly be a health version of tear of the goddess that stacked health somehow, which would of course build into Blood Goblet.

If the stats and scaling are too strong it can be toned down for balance.

It has too much presence, in contrast to items now which strengthen champions passively with active components only apparent in limited situations

So it would be an item for an AP tank. I think it would either be useless or OP. I am guessing the purpose is if you are Malphite and after your engage the other team starts ignoring you, you can turn this on to deal a lot of damage.

I hear this was part of the reason Karma got a rework so long ago.

What do you do against this? Either ignore them - great. You now have a champion to ignore. Or attack them - great. You now have a much more powerful champion to fight.

It just doesn't work very well at all.

As an alternative, lets not make needlessly complicated, high AP items for Vlad to abuse the ever-living hell out of.
