Snakes primarily use their poison to weaken prey so their fangs hurt more
Stashu made Cass more of a snake rather than a poison Mage
If there is any champion that fits poison Mage as a concept better than Cass, it's Malzahar

...Don't snakes primarily use their poison to weaken prey into a state that cannot fight back, then eat them?

If you play new Cass right you basically do that
{quoted} If you play new Cass right you basically do that
Weaken them in the debilitating sense not hit them once so they can bite you constantly. Most snakes method of killing is poison, constriction, and/or swallowing prey. At no point are snakes going to bite you once, then instead of letting the poison work start frenziedly biting you constantly. At least none of the snakes with poison would do that.
I'm not sure how that could be worked into a working play model
So Cassiopeia isn't a snake?
