Why Zoe is fairly OP to other burst mages.

She does not need to be in visual range to start being effective. Thing about burst mages is that almost all of their abilities are used while more or less on the screen of their target. Zoe's combo has no need to be even close to her target to be effective. Her E and Q both can be started well out of visual range and travel a pretty long distance without much of a warning. Her E is telegraphed somewhat visually, but not 100% where it will land. Her Q is too fast to dodge normally without flash or some other movement ability when it is launched from FoW. That is why she is OP.

Sure other champions like Lux and Xerath have long ranged abilities, but all have a telegraphed "warning indicator". While not a mage, Jhin is a long ranged champion and all of his ranged abilities have a warning area indicator of some sort. Zoe does not.

Nid had this issue too when her spears scaled with distance. She could nuke a person with 0 warning. However, Nid was more balanced because for max damage she had to distance herself from her target, limiting her chances for followup damage. Zoe moves towards her target meaning if it is not a 1 shot she has a good chance to finish them off.

Clearly you've never been deleted by a Xeraths E-Q-W

You have to be in range for that, his abilities all have some drawback too. His Q slows him pretty hard, his W has a target area indicator and his E stuns by distance traveled. All 3 have to more or less be within 1 screen of their target too. While yes, they can be shot from FoW, most of the time you know where he is and where he will be in fights because he has 0 mobility.

You have to be in range for Zoe to do all that too...

Is the champ using the FoW or not? And the only mobility zoe has is stolen Flashes.

...honestly why do people say Zoe has mobility. People who say that just haven't played her

She has a good amount of mobility. Ult on a 5s CD, multiple flashes and whatever and a big movement speed buff on her W.

The trouble i find with zoe, and this is coming from someone who doesn't play her, but have kept my ear to the ground about her because it is a certainlyt champ, and they on mass, aren't balanced champions and are heavily nerfed and changed over their span.

She is meant to be a long range nuke champion that prides themselves on being able to hit skillshots. While her power is ALL in her Q, i believe the problem is her E not the Q in this case atm. It comes down to the fact that it doesn't matter if you can dodge 99% of her skillshots, it is that 1% that she hits her E and is followed by immediate death because of her ability to 100-0 without any way to stop it. That is why some people don't like assassins or burst mages, one mistake and they are dead without any chance to react. And in the case of zoe, korea is banning her more and more now. And players are coming to the conclusion we are having something simular to a mage vs Zed problem, where you need to have item 3140 or summoner 1, otherwise her E is too powerful for what it does. And with a 55% winrate in the latest forms of the game, #8 of the best in that category, there is no denying she has too much power in her kit to make her Q effortless.

let me say a few things before you start talking about op... 1. you have no games played as her so you dont understand her kit.... 2 her burst requires set up from E ... if theres minions in lane you can hide behind minions to avoid her burst since its a straight line so its easy to avoid her Q without her getting an E off... her damage is loaded into Q ... yeah E and W do a bit of damage but nothing to be considered actual damage ulti offers nothing but range for Q... basically her kit is all around Q and passive .... yes she doesnt need to be completely visual to do alot of damage... but you can still avoid her stuff easily if you have a general idea of how she plays and her relative location she has kind of a hidden telegraph but we can also pull your rank into it no offence to your rank but in lower elos players * tho im only gold* players dont have a super good understanding of stuff like that and how she can be played around

Her E works very similarly to Bard's E with terrain interaction (not man made). But with bard, you know where it will always end. Her E travel distance varies a bit. Sure dodging the E is easy with minions to block it, but then it just leaves an AoE to dodge. It is not a dodge once and forget ability like a Morgana Q and such. I do realize that something like 80% of all her real damage is loaded into her Q. And then amplified by her E. But she has good potential for alternatives for her damage, her passive and any actives she collects. item 3100 certainly has its benefits she can use for her passive. Maybe this was not as clear as it could have been but I am in no way saying she needs a big nerf or anything, this was more for showing why she is OP as compared to other burst mages. Now, does she need a tweak or 2, maybe. But it is still week 1 of her release so lets let her play it out for a while.

other burst mages have their own way of doing things..... yes but you cant forget that other burst mages have things like their ultimate they can rely on for damage zoe doesnt shes not as op as you think she is and yes her E is like bard E its also pretty hard to land through terrain at times....
