tbh I've never had a problem with Sion as an opponent, but people always have a problem when I'm the one playing him.

Perhaps anyone whose getting controlled by him should play both sides of the fence, to better learn what to expect and how to beat him into the ground.

It takes an insanely bad trap for me to ever die to Sion.

It took me an entire year of being in bronze to realize this point. XD Playing other champions (for me) helps a LOT to beating them as my main.

He has plenty of counters Darius Ornn Nautilus Camille Fiora Urgot Riven Vayne Kled Gnar

All these champions can reasonably beat him in lane, and destroy him late game

He has no losing matchups according to the last 7 days in toplane. These champs may or may not do well against him but these are op ggs stats. He has a positive winrate vs every champ in toplane (likeky excluding vayne as shes not played often)

Ofc janna hardcounters him in support.

Just because he has a high when rate doesn't mean he has no counters in lane, lane win doesn't equal game win. especially with a champion that can ult travel over the map.

Sion has always had a high winrate with his cc, shield, ult. His laning phase is safe. All you have to do is not die repeatedly and hold lane. When an enemy toplaners that needs to snowball quickly and can't, it gives your team more of an opportunity to get ahead. He is so easily punished in lane if he slips up. Saying he has no counters is wrong. Saying that he is overly safe is not.

My argument simply is that Sion has hard counters in lane, and using op.gg as an excuse to make him seem uncounterable is deceiving.

His weakest matchup is yasuo

He still has a winrate of 51% in that match

I've personally done well against him as Quinn. Even if he lands his E, as soon as he starts charging his Q you can cancel it with your E, then kite him to hell.

I play damage supprt and I don’t have a problem with him. When I tried to play him as supprt I couldn’t do dick. Granted I only tried once I don’t really care for his kit to begin with.

Sion support has a high winrate in support because either A: you're a smurf and Sion is pretty easy to win with against people who are worse than you or B: You're a really good sion main. Not like it's a high play % for support.
