How do I beat a fed Ryze?

For context, I arguably had 2 factors going against me, but I'm not gonna blame said factors since it happens and I'll still need to play accordingly if it does but:

So I'm LeBlanc and my laning phase goes absolutely fine. Ryze got camped a tad and isn't really off to a great start which for me is great since being LeBlanc my early game is supposedly my greatest strength. But here's two issues that happened: My team was up more than 3x the kills at one point and we managed to secure 4 dragons, perhaps making the rest of my team overconfident (I make sure to always stay wary of a potential throw) and another early game ally who did exceptionally well started to lose effectiveness as the game went on. My ADC unfortunately isn't a conventional sustained damage tank killer and we were essentially outscaled by the enemy team; Ryze, Shen and Draven (kinda).

Draven luckily wasn't too effective even given the time to scale and Shen, despite not dying pretty much at all was still manageable due to him not doing too much damage. Ryze on the other hand was essentially their winning trump card.

So how would I go about beating a Ryze given time to scale, especially when I'm more or less powerless to duel him at all stages due to me not actually taking many kills (I hesitate to say this but the other early game ally pretty much hogged all the kills and thus a ton of our gold percentage) and even if I take Draven (and/or other squishies) out of the fight, Ryze still hits us with around 2000 damage within less than half a second to all of us at once. None of us can kill him since he builds a ton of defense and none of us actually have adequate lockdown even with a Leona (any gap in the timing and Ryze could pop Zhonyas or Seraph's Shield etc. (funnily enough, another ally and I had two roots, neither of which would actually stop him from killing us regardless of whether he needed to move).

Is Ryze's late game only able to be countered by very specific lockdown comps given the fact that he did scale? (Note that he was last pick, I wouldn't have picked LeBlanc if he picked before me; I probably would've picked someone like Malzahar into him)

PS: I made this thread mainly out of the feeling that Ryze just doesn't feel fair to play against (which is perhaps why he gets an annual rework but I digress). I'm also quite sure he's a smurf given that he was only Lv.29 but regardless of all that, this happening is a possibility and I'd like to know how to go around this.

feed someone else on their team and then 5 man ryze kill him then accuse his teammate of kill stealing in order to cause infighting on their team about who's the real carry. when ryze bites into it accuse ryze of being carried by the support in order to tilt him. then afk knowing you can do nothing to win against him in this game and submit a report for verbal abuse and harassment knowing you'll get his account banned in the long run. you didn't win the match, but you wont the war.

Someone good against Ryze late game is Lissandra in my opinion, she can easily cc him and root him while your comp engages and finishes him off

if ryze got shitted on early, you had 4 dragons and 3xs the kills as a team then you should of finished the game out.

this isnt an issue with ryze as a champ its an issue with your team not knowing how to use the advantage and gold lead to close a game that was won.

This sounds like a classic game of not finishing the kill.. once you had dragons, should have grouped up and finished.

I can not tell you how many times I have been on both ends of this situation..a team does not finish when they should and an end game champ scales and takes the comeback win..

Last season I would do this with tank sups, or a lux , or an amumu jungle going heavy tank..

But it boils down to team comp... if you have strong early champs... you need to finish the game early.. if your all scaling late game champs, you stall until you can get big enough.. which it sounds like the opposing team did.

Ryze counters Leblanc, and the answer is that you don't. Play with your team and ask them to face him in sidelanes instead of expecting you to do so. Only real options at that point is to pick him off when he's alone or to focus him incredibly hard during teamfights.
