It's a two-strike ability and ideally each one would have a chance to proc to reduce the chance of a huge hit off of 1% crit chance. Of course it could crit for, say 50% bonus damage rather than the full value.
Anyway, it would open up a whole new world of itemization that would fit extremely well with Evelynn but currently does not.

Yes I understand that, but what if , in the rework, they allowed for some of her abilities to crit...(?) that would be amazing. It would open up entirely new itemization paths.
Kind of like how letting Ravage apply on-hit effects turned it from the worst ability in the game (Did physical damage at melee range, did NOT apply on-hit effects, WTF?) to a serviceable one. Letting Ravage crit will have the same rippling effect on Evelynn's gameplay.
Keep in mind, Ravage's base damage is awful and going full crit wouldn't yield much more Ravage damage than going full AP.... BUT, it would let Evelynn use items like Phantom Dancer, Essence Reaver (<----- would mean you don't have to suffer constant LOM when you choose not to buy Runic Echoes, YOU CAN BUY SOMETHING ELSE, hurray) and Infinity Edge would be solid for Evelynn's playstyle.
I'd replace boots of swiftness for Ninja Tabi. Tabi is just so useful right now....
