You vs the studies of the best

So recently I been noticing a trend on the forums and it's quite a worrisome trend. I feel the respect low elo players have towards players in higher elo than them have been greatly decreasing. Maybe it's always been this way but I see the forums spamed with topics like.

"if you got ______ elo, than you just got lucky for ranked is luck"

I also see other people going as extreme as saying "so what if he's challenger it doesn't mean he's right" than try to argue why they are right. While I am not one who will say, "yes challengers are always right" I will however say, when people try to argue against people like Apdo one of the worlds greatest players. Who spends 8 hours a day, playing the game, studying the game, making notes about the game, a player who has been number 1 in many different regions time and time again. I will say yes many people have a problem.

As a low elo player, me myself included, you have to admit, your way of doing things, your way of thinking about things is wrong. You have to acknowledge most of what you do is incorrect, and what you do that is correct, was most likely something you learned by watching or studying someone better than you. To get good at a game like League of Legends, or Chess, you have to acknowledge you know nothing, and be willing to learn from those who are better than you.

If you are a silver, and one of your gold friends has advice for you, consider listening to him. If you are a silver player and Apdo is saying "oriana is really strong right now and has nearly no counters" LISTEN TO HIM. This guy is literally giving you free advice and has proven to be one of the greatest players LOL has ever had.

I just feel the respect levels bronze and silver players have for their superiors has really plummeted this year, and I hope this topic opens some peoples eyes.

If you wish to fill your cup with knowledge, you must first empty it.

There is the problem of things that are good in 1 elo are bad in another. Ori has basically no counters yes. But I wouldn't recommend a hard stuck bronze to play Ori because she takes more than just mechanical skill to play. she is all about ball positioning.

Something to be known is that when Apdo speaks about a champion's strengths he is talking on the level of "This champion preforms at this level if played by a player who can make the most of kit" While it is a good indicator of what a champion CAN do. In low elo its a question of can the players there use that champion to the best of their ability.

If you only aim to play like someone you will never surpass them. Not everything you do is incorrect, and not everything they do is correct.

If your not climbing, and on a shitty losing streak, and been hard stuck in silver for 3 years, than yes, nearly everything you are doing has been incorrect.

Everytime you don't win you're doing something incorrect. Meaning that even the best player in challenger is playing incorrect 44% of the time
