Let's stop pretending like Varus was an interesting character

Like come ON sesriously? Varus was always just that generic cliche bow man with a backstory of a good guy harnessing "dark" power to kill bad guys. This could literally be any shonen anime lmao.

SO the lore went from that to him being a demon that fused with 2 separate beings to CREATE Varus. That is so much more interesting, regardless if the two beings are gay or not.

You stop using your subjective opinion on what's interesting first, then we can talk.

Then this whole discussion about every lore change is irrelevant :3

Not really. Writing quality, story elements and ideas, and the like can be described fairly objectively.

Allow me to demonstrate:

Pretty much all of League's old lore is shallow, trite, and amateurish. The updated lore is generally an improvement across the board. That includes Varus.

I wouldn't say across the board, but there have been a great many improvements.

Not pretending. A character who chose Duty over Family and then regrets his choice is a sad tale of emotional reality conflicting with romantic ideology.

If we can stop pretending "Oh look, it's a Darkin/vastayan/demi-god, isn't that cool!" is interesting, then we can talk.
