Why this game is becoming unbalanced.

I continue to get demoted. I keep trying. I get promoted, then demoted. Reasons are so varied I am not going to be all "AWW QQ feeders and im pro". No, I am not the best, but quite honestly I am better than bronze and I know it. Constantly I end up playing support because nobody wants to. Meanwhile, I am the only one with wards. Which is annoying. On top of that, let's just cover champions. Why is it that XinZhao can do what Katarina can do, and not get punished for it. Sure kata is strong, but any cc or focus on her and she gets destroyed. Point blank. Yet, xin can build tank and let the other team focus him as he kills them all. It's like, why be an assassin if a tank can do as much damage with little penalty. In my opinion it isn't fair. I am starting to grow tired of this game because quite honestly it doesn't feel balanced. Certain roles are becoming better than others in terms of items and kits. Sure, Annie can 100-0 somebody, but then she gets focused and rekt after one mistake. Then, someone like DrMundo can just run around cleaving everyone and just be a walking distraction. AND STILL DO DAMAGE. It makes me beyond tilted to see a squishy mage build all ap against a tank who is ALL tank and can still more or less one- two shot them.

TL;DR Riot should probably balance roles a little bit imo.

This game is slowly falling into a hole that the devs cannot rescue it from. about 40% of the champions in this game are just plain over powered but the devs have no plans to fix them. Their view on "fixing them" is fucking them up even more. Champions like teemo, kennan, illaoi (if you play her right), yasuo (if you build him crit) are over powered beyond belief. Meanwhile other champions are like fighting with a chipmunk (ex skarner, after the update hes pretty much useless. Its like trying to poke someone to death) Riot needs to do something about this and balance the game out or I, for one, would look into games such as dota, smite, etc. Another thing I don't understand is champions that dont have mana or energy. Just build CD and AD/AP and you've won the game.

Supports. (Top lane)

I see Soraka and Lux (or champions like them) playing top lane and actually winning. This should not be a thing. They're called supports for a reason. I can understand them being nothing but a glass cannon and die at the first sneeze from an enemy but they don't.

Supports. (Bot lane)

I'm not sure why people think that if you can take someone top lane then you can take them bot lane. No. Sure there are some champions like Allistar and Braum that are meant to support but I've seen people say "oh yeah malphite can support he just uses his ult." I main malphite and I know that you cannot wait until level 6 to start supporting and his ult knocks champions up into the air for 3 seconds max (not sure exactly what it is but i know its not long). Not all tanks can go bot lane just because they can tank. What are you supposed to do if you're a tank bot lane and they just focus your adc. Then what? Yeah you have his seismic shard that steals movement speed but that doesn't help much. I've seen people take Yasuo as a support. This may be viable in theory but in action you're essentially just taking two adcs bot. All he has is his shield and the tornado thing that knocks champions into the air. I could see it working if you got lucky but you're not going to be able to block every ranged targeted or skill shot attack.

I can go on for hours about how people take champions into the wrong lanes either viable and broken or useless and idiotic but I'm done for now.

Looking at your stats, you simply don't know how to carry. Want to get out of bronze? Find a champion that you are really good with, and carry every game. As an example, look at my Quinn stats. She's mobile, catches people out of position, can invade, and even if you die you can still take 1-2 people with you.

The roles are balanced. You just don't have a core set for this season yet.

Yes, Jax jumping on my face and avoiding all AA's and reducing AOE damage only to QSS any CC on him and burst me with only Rageblade and QSS is completely balanced.

Want some tips for that?

1). Pick champions that are strong against Jax. Quinn as stated before happens to be one of those. If he jumps on you, just shove him back with E. Malph, Garen, and Nasus are great examples too that punish him for going to all in.

2). Ban him if he makes you feel that uncomfortable.

3). Don't let him farm willy nilly to get to rageblade status. Punish him, either via camping his jungle (if he's a jungler) or camping top lane.

4). Learn to play Jax. You'll not only realize his shortfalls, but you'll soon understand he isn't just freelo. At the moment only Graves and Udyr can claim that spot.

Yes, a fed Jax is hard to deal with. But he is manageable if you play smart. If you allow yourself to get caught out and destroyed as stated above, that's on you as a player dude.

(Fyi, Jax only has a 49% winrate right now. 76th place overall.)

And what if I'm bad/unexperienced with those champions? Obviously Garen is easy enough to not matter too much but an experienced Jax could still beat an inexperienced Garen. You could say learn them but then I still have to deal with Mundo and Ezreal and whoever else is OP in the meta, and continuously change and learn and bend because there's always these 5-10 interchanging champs that are top-of-the-meta OP and I either have to deal with or hope they mostly get banned.

2). Ban him if he makes you feel that uncomfortable.

I shouldn't be forced to ban somebody, I should ban someone because they specifically make me specifically feel uncomfortable. Like Brand, I can never seem to beat him but he's still considered balanced(except for that time a patch or two ago).

3). Don't let him farm willy nilly to get to rageblade status. Punish him, either via camping his jungle (if he's a jungler) or camping top lane.

Okay to be honest, this part just has to do with Bronze-Gold foolishness but you can't generally beat a Jax in a 1v1 unless you're already fed or naturally counter him, and any jungler in my elo generally won't gank, or if they do execute it so poorly and just end up giving him a double. And yes, I'm guilty as charged of pitiful plays like that too.

4). Learn to play Jax. You'll not only realize his shortfalls, but you'll soon understand he isn't just freelo. At the moment only Graves and Udyr can claim that spot.

His shortfalls is counterjungling, and that's it. And to counterjungle, you actually have to have a faster jungler which isn't common. Maybe Master Yi or Udyr, and neither of them can win in a 1v1 if the Jax isn't a Bronzetard(though granted in my elo, there are many of them... still, possibilities).

Well you have to open yourself up sometime, else you'll just be sitting on the sidelines like a cheerleader(cheersquad skinline confirmed?)

Win rates don't really mean much... I mean, it still means some, but there have been plenty of OPs in the past that had a low win rate, and were even called underpowered because of it by some who basically cling to winrates for guidance and wisdom.

quick reply to the answers you gave:

  1. learn them - get better. Pick 1 champion and get really good with them. Pick them every game regardless of the match-up and you will improve.

  2. that's exactly the reason why bans exist...

  3. jax is very weak pre 6.

  4. no that isn't his only shortfall. He has a stun with a million year cooldown. If he uses it to harass you then he gave you a million years to hit him back before it comes up again.

anyone with a dash can avoid his stun and win trades.

"Well you have to open yourself up sometime". No you don't... There's never a reason to.

Not that I agree with op, buy that's why ranked is broken. At low elo's its not about team performance to win quite often, yet you are still punished for bad teams.

When the most reliable wY to win is abuse top their champs and do indavidually well, but there is no accounting for personal performance in MMR calculations, its just a mess.

This game has always been unbalanced. Its part of what keeps it fun and fresh, like it or not.

What makes you think this game is balanced?

Is rock paper scissors balanced?

Rock mains are always on the forums demanding nerfs on paper. Paper mains threaten to leave the game because scissors is too OP. Scissors just troll in game chat with " Lolz Noobs #Getrekt "
