There needs to be a permanent kills-matter-most game mode

There should be a game mode for players who don't like objective-based games. That way all the rest of the players don't have to sit through having allies who don't attack turrets but prioritize getting and stealing kills. One prime example would be the assassin jungler who gets twenty kills but 0 towers and 0 assists-- then blames their allies for the lost.

So for those players-- or for anyone who just wants to kill without worrying about turrets from time to time-- there needs to be an arena-like game mode where kills are either the only things that matter, or the things that matter most.

Edit: Ascension is the closest, but due to the nature of the altars being worth more points than any kill it's far easier to win by getting them than kills--even as the Ascended. It's a fight-heavy mode where prioritizing a separate objective is still better than kills.

There are TONS of game modes for players who don't like objective-based games.

Unfortunately, you are playing the wrong game. Go play CoD

As I said, it's not for me. It's so I don't have to deal with the jerkwad Rengar players who steal every kill and then cry that the loss isn't their fault--- and get a B score because lots of kills and no objectives is below average score for a jungler.

Now, if you could convince all the people who act like that to play CoD instead, I'd be grateful.

Ascension, but no one likes that

Ascension isn't even close. You lose every game you focus on kills instead of the altars, unless you're Ascended the entire time-- sometimes even if you are. Which is exactly why even players who focus on kills don't like the mode.

Smite has it, and it's pretty cool.

I'd enjoy having it in the rotating game mode.

The biggest problem I see with that is, that's really hard to balance in a developed resources game. (Developed meaning, your gain gold, xp, power, items, etc, over time.) Simply because the wining team is by default, snowballing because kills are the only objective. Though you could get around that by making kills, only worth victory points, while making gold and XP gain completely flat.

The other problem with such a mode is that champion diversity would be pretty flat. If it's effectively a Team deathmatch, you wouldn't worry about minions, (little need for wave clear) And you basically need the power to duel. (and probably the ability to team fight in the exact same kit.)

If I where to use High kill, high chaos, game modes such as Ascension or TT Hexakill. My go to base line for champions are pretty much going to be Battle mages, and Juggernauts.

What you bring up is exactly the reason why the game would be good. In Smite, there are certain champions that work better in Arena than in the 5's mode, and the same would be the case in LoL.

You'd actually get to see some diversity that you normally don't.
