so what started the 'If you play your mains in a normals you're garbage' mentality?
is it that wrong to practice a champ still in normal or something, ive met around 5-6 people so far the past few days saying 'm7 in normals? you're trash'

I only play Normal and everyone is always Diamond/Master/Challenger every game, and I've played with professionals occasionally too. There's nothing wrong with playing either Normal Draft or Blind.
I believe a lot of ranked players bash Normal because they mess around a lot in Normal and at times seem like they want to lose just to talk in chat about being ranked, not caring, and that Normal games and players are "garbage". They're also more likely to leave/AFK. This result in some ranked players, even Diamonds and Masters, having a low Normal MMR and being at Bronze-Gold MMR. All that info is hidden in Normal and many don't know Normal has an MMR (all modes do, needed for match making), so many end up with low Normal MMR and don't realize it.
It's obvious salt on their part.
Obviously, it was started by people who lost to one-trick-ponies in Normals. They need to justify their loss, so they reason out that they lost because they weren't taking normals seriously, while OTPs were taking normals seriously, by virtue of them using their mains.
I don't know i have never heard that but as long as you are having fun who cares i play normal a lot do to i am tired of the toxic crap of ranked
