A Question About Champion Mastery And Ranked
So i finally saw the Champion Mastery Q&A idk how i missed that :( unfortunately i didnt get to ask questions there so ill do that here, if anyone can chime in and answer that would be most appreciated. I saw an interesting comment about how your points are based on how well you performed compared to everyone else who plays that champion, which got me thinking about ranked. So my question is about ranked.
So i was wondering if the same thing couldnt be applied to Ranked?
Like take someone and compare them to other people in that MMR and give or take LP based on that rather then on just wins or loss. This is different then KDA because if you are playing someone like Garen and build him AD you are going to get more kills then Tank Garen. So you would compare someone playing Tank Garen to all Tank Garens, and AD Garens to all AD Garens. I know its not as simple as that but im just using it as an example. My reasons for this is that while it is a team game, sometimes your team is not as good as your opponents or you. Im not just talking about having a better KDA, im talking about wards, objectives, getting caught out multiple times in the same fashion, targeting the wrong opponents, etc. Thus people who do perform even slightly better then their team in all these aspects are held down by their teams This creates an imbalance in lower MMR's where really good people are being caged in Bronze and Silver because they are not quite good enough to carry a whole team. This also creates situations where someone with Gold-Plat levels of skill is fighting someone of Bronze-Silver levels of skill and utterly destroying them.
With this system implemented that guy who is constantly going 23/2 Vayne, warding good, taking objectives when they need to, teamfighting when they need to, CSing great, they are rewarded for performing excellent faster and not punished as hard when he gets a team that could not perform. The problem with the current system is that you can go on a streak of doing really well both KDA and objectives, warding, etc. and still lose and all your hard work doesn't matter simply because you do not outweigh your teammates lack of skill.
Note: I am not talking about myself, i still have a lot to improve on with objectives and warding. Im mostly talking about teammates and enemies i have seen that were just obviously better then everyone else in almost all aspects and still lose, they talk of a place some say do not exist others say is all too real... They call this place ELO Hell
