Gutting Poppy != Fixing her.
So, what was it you said? Poppy was "too good at doing everything"? Hm. Well, let's take a look at that, shall we?

All can build tanky and destroy people, most of them have mobility, ALL of them have some form of CC (even weak CC), all of them can build damage and literally one shot people, and so on. So, remind me: Why is Poppy not only being nerfed, but entirely gutted, when all these fucking piles of bullshit are walking around? Don't even get me started on fucking ADCs or assassins.
That aside, nerfing Poppy was warranted, sure, but you didn't just nerf her, you Olaf'd her.
Q: Q isn't too bad, it has a little less damage, no biggie.
W: W wasn't changed, so no difference.
Now, here's where the issues start to show up.
Passive: So, you reduced the range on it, which isn't really a big deal, but you also made it not reset Poppy's AA. Now you throw your shield and literally just stand there for an amount of time far longer than your AA speed. This makes playing Poppy feel INCREDIBLY clunky and just wrong. Clearing jungle camps is much harder now, and her burst for landing that E+Passive>Q>AA combo on someone just doesn't exist anymore.
E: So you reduced the range on her E, fine, but you nearly halved it. That little E to minion then Q on someone trick that Phreak showed us in the spotlight? Yeah, that doesn't work anymore. You can't use your E for anything anymore. Not peel, not chasing, nothing. Unless you're in someone's face, and they're standing ON TOP of a wall you can't stun people at all, or even use it. So, her E is basically not a thing anymore.
You want to nerf Poppy because she's too tanky and has too much damage, right? So, here's how we PROPERLY do it: Deactivate the passive armor / MR boost on her W when she has high HP, and make it only activate when she goes below the health threshold. Boom! She's not a tank anymore, and has to actually build armor / MR to have high defenses. You can tweak numbers on her Q and E to bring her damage to where you want it, but we retain the playstyle that made everyone fall in love with Poppy in the first place.
Just please, pull your head out of your ass, Riot, and actually look at things before you change them. Don't just change things because they sound like a good idea on paper -- actually PLAY YOUR GAME FOR ONCE, and look at how the changes feel, and how the champion works, and all that. If you had a Poppy main look at the champion and tell you how to nerf her without destroying her identity, well, guess what? They'd know exactly what to do.
But hey, Riot's just some other shitty company that gets bossed around by an F2P publisher in Asia (gee, getting kind of tired of those), so it's not like I really expect any kind of quality work to come from them.
I know you'll ignore my post, so I don't know why I bother trying, but I'd like one of my favorite junglers back.
