Dodging and the time penalty incurred.

If you dodge a game, you lose LP, and if you're in a series it counts as a loss. You also incur a 5 minute penalty where you cannot queue, and subsequently a 30 minute penalty.

If you troll, you get reported. And despite innumerate reports on the same players, I've seen some of them in games for over 2 years now. Given the conversations in game and during the post-game chat, I'm lead to believe I'm not the only player reporting these people. So I'm either being grossly misled, or the reports do nothing.

Essentially, your actions punish the person attempting to salvage their time. Someone instalocks? Doesn't matter. If, despite writing "i'm top lane" in the chat someone else picks and calls top, that doesn't factor in at all. I'm not suggesting we remove the time-out penalties, but why is it universal. If I dodge in ranked, why would I not be able to play TeamBuilder or ARAM where those same issues aren't coming up? It's not just a bad policy, it's thoughtless and worst of all it's negligent. This is an easy fix.

I was going to come in here and ask for TB to get it's own, separate standings from ranked since there has been no dent in the armor to cleaning up the Rift, or dropdown for selecting roles in ranked, but I don't have the 5 years of tireless lobbying to put in only for someone to just float the idea at a meeting.

**tl;dr - please make the delay in requeueing post dodge specific to the types of games in which you dodged. **

I played starcraft 1 for 7 years and their was absolutely no penalty for leaving a game early... and people still played it all the way through. Then I play league and you can get punished before the game even starts.. lol why................
