I still don't think buffing towers would stop LCS teams from lane swapping, there a lot more strategy to it than "towers are easy to kill now so lets do that" I dont remember exactly but lane swapping has been a strat since late season 3??

Wouldn't that support the theory that towers are easy to kill now, though? If the same strategy has been used for years but only now results in towers going down immediately?

Towers go down faster because nobody is there to defend them anymore. In season 3 there were.

Yeppers. In season three the traditional lane swap would have had the top laner 2v1 and try to slavage as much cs as possible. then junglers would either go for a three man dive on the enemy top lane, OR the jungle would go defend the bot tower from a 3v1 dive and make it 3v2, and while the early game progressed, you ended up with supports backing to base early to the lane the top laner was in lane and support would help them while the enemy adc and support were still in that lane. Now its just a 4v0 tower rush to excellerate the game.
