Zyra's ult feels rather lackluster

I remember when Zyra's ult used to do a fair amount of damage on its own. Now it feels like her power has been shifted around to constantly farting out plants every few seconds. I understand what Riot were trying to do but her ult used to feel like a staple of her kit and now it just feels rather lackluster compared to the other parts of her kit.
